"God of Blood, Dracula?" Huo Yuhao muttered, and suddenly felt a freezing sensation unlike anything he's ever felt before spreading across his bloodstream.
His survival instincts kicked in and Ultimate Ice-Fire surged throughout his body, expelling whatever foreign energy was invading his body.
"W-What the hell was that?!" He shouted lowly.
Di Tian deeply sighed. "You invoked the God of Blood's true name, of course there's going to be a reaction in your blood. It's fine. That guy isn't petty enough to smite you just from speaking his true name."
Huo Yuhao stared at him incredulously. "What?"
"There's absolutely nothing to worry about. Let's move on."
"No, I feel like I should be worried! He's the God of Blood? That sounds like an ominous title."
Di Tian ignored Huo Yuhao's words and said, "Anyways, the feeling I felt from inheritance sites in the Sun Moon Empire are pretty old, ancient to the point of it being established after the Divine War. So I advise you to look into any kind of history books or mythical stories that tell about a God or someone like one."
"...You don't know any of their locations?"
"Unfortunately, no." Di Tian shook his head, looking a bit aggrieved.
After all, a divine inheritance isn't just useful for humans but also for powerful soul beasts. With the right preparations, a soul beast could even steal the divinity and other valuables in the divine inheritance.
"I can't get an accurate location since either the Evil Emperor or a Monarch would always interfere with my search. Fortunately, that dumbass eye doesn't have the necessary preparations to take actions on those sites. While the Monarchs don't give a crap about them either." Di Tian explained.
"I think I've said what needs to be said. C'mon, your group just entered Maple Leaf City."
Although he still had a lot of questions, Huo Yuhao swallowed the words forming in his mouth and nodded. He shouldn't waste any more time.
Di Tian's information given to him was extremely useful. Not only would he learn and research advanced soul tool technology, but also find those divine inheritance sites.
Huo Yuhao's biggest goal right now is to become a God.
His revenge was basically complete now. Both Dai Huabin and Zhu Yanjing, the main culprits behind hurting and killing his mother, are dead. While his father Dai Hao is in a bad state of sadness and confusion, it wasn't enough.
No, how could his hatred be quelled so easily? Dai Hao might not have been directly involved in his life, he still deserved blame for the death of his mother and the pain they both experienced for years.
Huo Yuhao was just waiting for that perfect timing.
He didn't want to just cause Dai Hao pain, misery and death. No.
He wanted to break him.
Di Tian snapped his fingers, creating a spatial tunnel.
"Let's go."
Huo Yuhao paused for a moment and used Spiritual Sharing.
'Di Tian, have you found the soul beast that was raising that Skysplitting Demon Dragon and sent a Darkgold Terror Claw Bear after me?'
'...No, I haven't found any sign of them. I understand that you aren't lying to me about them, but I haven't found any clue about them. However, trust me. I will find them.'
Huo Yuhao furrowed his brows. He still vividly remembered that day, when he was struck by a Heavenly Tribulation, and he had asked Di Tian for help in looking for the one who raised that Skysplitting Demon Dragon.
Since he and the Great Beasts of the forest are in a truce, Huo Yuhao didn't want any hidden snakes that could jeopardize the safety of himself and Qiu'er.
Although a soul beast hurting the Auspicious Emperor, who is tied to the fate of the Great Star Dou Forest, sounds crazy, he didn't want to leave it to chance.
There could only be two reasons why they haven't found them yet; one is because their target is incredibly powerful, which sounds ludicrous, or two it's because they have a powerful stealth ability.
'I shouldn't be too worried. With Di Tian on the lookout, they would be soon caught or just give up on their grand scheme.' Huo Yuhao shrugged and followed behind Di Tian.
The two disappeared into the spatial tunnel, not noticing a small turtle head slowly sticking out from behind a tree.
"S-Shit. Huuu. I can't keep hiding like this forever. That damn brat! No wonder Di Tian has been so vigilant lately, it's because that boy snitched on me! Ugh. What should I do?! Because of my severe injury, I can't just move to a different forest and hide out till this blows over."
Its little turtle head flopped onto the ground, feeling helpless.
"Should I just come clean...?"
Somewhere close to the Lake of Life, grumbling by herself in a small cave was Qiu'er herself.
"Who you calling "dead weight", huh?! Stupid Yuhao... How dare he talk to me like that, I'm so way older than him. He should respect his elder! Did he just see me as a pet all this time?" Qiu'er scratched and clawed on the ground, imagining it was a certain human's face.
Her ruby-red eyes narrowed. "Wait a minute... Did Di Tian put him to this? Yuhao wouldn't be so mean to me like that, even if he wanted to keep me safe. No, it doesn't matter. Hmph! I'll show him! I'll show them all!"
"Don't forget, I also have some of Yuhao's memories!"
She sat on her hind legs and pressed both her dragon claws together, forming handseals(clawseals?).
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Poofed!
A puff of white smoke appeared besides Qiu'er. However, what appeared had the same height and size as her, but looked completely different. It had golden fur, yes, but no dragon claws, three eyes and sharp teeth.
What appeared besides her was a large Golden Retriever.
Qiu'er flatly stared at it. It stared back at her and stuck out its tongue, panting.
"...Dammit Yuhao." She just knew that this was his fault.
"Woof!"
"Again!"
Unbeknownst to Qiu'er, a purple-colored dragon eye was staring at her silently.
'Ugh. She'll kill herself at this rate. What is with the current generation of soul beasts? They're so hopelessly in love.'
'Hmm. I don't think anyone can convince her to stay, forcing her is just going to be a headache later on. Hmm.'
'How about I accompany her? I'll separate a small part of myself into a human. Although it would force me into hibernation, for the safety of the Auspicious Emperor and soul beasts—the price is worth it. Yes. This human clone of mine would carry my spear as her temporary martial soul, she would be a suitable bodyguard for the Auspicious Emperor.'
Hidden from the world and divine eyes, in a small space in the Lake of Life, a massive silver dragon exhaled slowly exhaled, its breath shimmering with primordial force. It curled itself and started emitting seven elemental colors, converging into a swirling sphere — pulsing with an intense dragonic aura that not even Di Tian could release before it slowly dispersed.
What was left was nothing but a miracle — the life force of a human!
From that swirling seven-colored sphere emerged soul, blood, bones and flesh. It began constructing a human in the image of the Silver Dragon King.
Fair skin as white as moonlight, smooth and flawless like untouched jade. Long silver-white hair flowed down her back like a river of liquid starlight, catching and scattering the faint luminescence of the sealed space around her. It framed a delicate, oval-shaped face — cute, adorable and beautiful that seems out of this world.
The Silver Dragon King opened its huge jaws and a radiant silver ball of light slowly emerged, it slowly dimmed when it floated down before the closed eyed human.
It is a silver spear that is more than two feet in length and very slender. On its slender body, there are fine silver scales, which are presented in a hexagonal shape, very delicate, and well-proportioned. This spear only has a tip at one end, its length is about one-third of the length of the spear.
There is an oval-shaped silver bead adorned the tip of the spear. It appears to have no spearhead yet a ray of radiant energy spurted out from the silver bead.
The Silver Dragon King stared at their creation, their human clone, in wonder and awe.
"From now on, your name is Na'er."
".... Na'er understands."
The newly named Na'er opened her eyes, purple as dusk-lit amethyst, glimmering with clarity and innocence—yet beneath their stillness, something deeper stirred.
Not divinity. Not beastly instinct.
But something human.
Maple Leaf City was on the western side of the Star Luo Empire, near its very active border with the Sun Moon Empire. Maple Leaf City handled a lot of the military logistics of the Heavenly Soul Empire. At the same time, it was an important trading and commercial city at the border.
Even though it wasn't as prosperous as Shrek City, it wasn't inferior in terms of size.
Yan Shaozhe and Cai Mei'er both lead the group. They are currently staying in a hotel, waiting for the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy to arrive.
Right now, the group of students and two teachers are situated in a large room, usually used for parties, is now occupied by them.
"Dean Yan, where is Huo Yuhao? Isn't he supposed to be here with us?" One of the people selected for the program asked. He had a class six soul engineer badge on his chest.
Almost all of the people selected for the exchange student program are students from the Soul Engineering Department.
However, besides Ye Xiaosheng, the rest are all subordinates of Huo Yuhao from Akatsuki. They've all been swayed by the mysterious "jutsus" and more, but it was more because of Huo Yuhao's reputation as the greatest genius of this era. They all wanted to ride that tailcoat of glory as much as possible.
There were of course a lot of skeptics; those who think that Huo Yuhao's deeds are just either exaggerated or made-up — Ye Xiaosheng was one of them.
As one of the youngest people to ever become a Class 6 Soul Engineer, Ye Xiaosheng is naturally prideful and couldn't believe that someone so young such as Huo Yuhao could be an accomplished Soul Engineer while also being a great Soul Master.
It just didn't make sense to him. So he didn't join Huo Yuhao's faction and devoted everything to improving himself further, to show this junior of his just what a true genius really is.
"Did someone call for me?"
Huo Yuhao casually announced his presence as he walked into the room, everyone looked at him in surprise.
