Stepping onto the second floor of the temporarily constructed container house, Tang Li stopped at the meeting room door upon recognizing who was inside. Without a word, she turned to leave.
"It seems the young lady isn't too keen on seeing me," Jiang Yuan's voice came from behind her.
Tang Li turned back around.
Lai Wenyan's assistant, Jiang Yuan had already risen from his chair. He straightened his suit, buttoned up the front, and then continued, "The young lady came all the way here from the Capital, and the Councilman is quite worried. He is in a nearby town and had me come specially to pick you up."
At those words, Tang Li's gaze shifted to Jiang Yuan: "Lai Wenyan is here?"
