If Ami wasn't still in shock, she would have teased Mina for kissing Yoongi on the cheek. But right now their main focus was getting to the cafeteria where everyone was currently filing into so they could tally their scores. She made a mental note to yell at Mina for almost giving her a heart attack and then tease her later for it.
Mina and Ami made their way through the crowd, pushing past people so they could get to the front. As the two made their way to the front everyone stopped and stared at Mina. Her hair was a mess, she had dried blood on her face and her clothes were tattered.
Mina felt a little self conscious but Ami held her hand and gave her a little squeeze telling her it was okay. When they finally made it to the front, Ami told Mina to sit down while she grabbed a bunch of napkins and water that was on the table to try and clean off some of the blood from her face. She then proceeded to brush her wavy hair down with her hands.
"We're going straight to the infirmary after this." Before Mina could protest Ami gave her a look as if she were saying try me. So Mina gave a sigh and nodded. She knew that if she didn't listen to her, Ami would probably drag her to the Infirmary anyway.
It was silent as everyone watched the two before a small cough was let out, getting everyone's attention. At the front was Professor Dumbledore, looking at the two girls curiously as he waved to them to come forward. Just like everyone else, he too wanted to know what had happened to the girl. Mina shifted uncomfortably in her spot before standing up as she made her way to him, Ami not that far behind her.
"My dear, what happened to you? Are you alright?" He asked kindly once Mina was completely in front of him. Her cheeks lit up in embarrassment and she cleared her throat as she tried to figure out how to explain the situation to him. Without involving Binxie or anyone else in it. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the forth coin and handed it to him.
"I found the fourth coin. It was in the forbidden forest being guarded by Aragog. I know we are not supposed to step foot in there unless otherwise but my entire house searched this place inside and out just like every other house did and came up empty so I quickly deduced it was either with the magical creatures or in the forest. When we came up empty handed at the reserve, I knew where it was. So I decided to go and look for it myself. It wasn't that easy and I for sure almost died but I was able to collect the coin and bring it here." Mina said as she looked down at the ground.
To say everyone was surprised would be an understatement. Everyone knew Mina and the type of person she was. So for her to venture off on her own into something dangerous without any help, truly came as a shock to the whole student body and the teachers.
After the initial shock had worn off, everyone in Hufflepuff started cheering loudly as they stood up and clapped. Soon the other three houses joined in with their cheering before everyone was once again silenced by Dumbledore.
"Due to your courage and bravery, 100 points have been awarded to Hufflepuff! And after tallying up all four coins, 600 points have been awarded, putting Hufflepuff in the lead for the tournament cup." Dumbledore said as he clapped.
Everyone in Hufflepuff erupted in cheers once again followed by clapping from the other houses. Ami looked at Mina and pulled her into a hug as they both jumped excitedly. Dumbledore then tallied up the rest of the house's scores. Gryffindor was in second place with 450 points followed by Slytherin with the total of 430 points and in last place was Ravenclaw with 350 points.
After Dumbledore dismissed everyone, they all went their separate ways. Ami kept her word and dragged Mina to the infirmary. On the way there they talked about what happened in the cafeteria. In a few weeks they were going to have Quidditch tournaments and Ami wanted to try out for the team. "Hey Mina, you think they will let me on the team. I mean I've never actually played before. I don't even know what position I want to try out for."
"Of course they would! They would be idiots if they don't let you. I mean you can fly really well so that has to count right." Mina reassured Ami. "You know I'll be right there in the stands to cheer you on."
Ami smiled at Mina's kind words. "Ahh, this is just too exciting I can't wait. Hey maybe I could get Seokjin to help me. I mean I would ask Jimin but he's on our rivals team." Ami and Mina both chuckled. Soon their conversation was cut short as they arrived at the infirmary. Ami helped Mina to a bed as Madam Pomfrey prepared everything to heal Mina's wounds.
Once Mina's wounds had been treated, Madam Pomfrey left the two of them alone. Just as Mina was about to speak, Jimin and Yoongi appeared as the two of them walked towards them.
"Hey you two. Mina, how are you feeling? That wound looked pretty deep earlier." Jimin said as he stood next to Ami, nudging her shoulder gently as he smiled at the two. Yoongi took a seat next to Mina, leaving enough room between the two so they had room.
"Hey Jimin, Yoongi. No, it wasn't deep. Just bled a lot is all. I'll be healed in no time. Binxie saved me at just the right time." Mina said softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked at Jimin before looking over at Yoongi. He was already looking at her when she made eye contact with him, a small blush spreading across her cheeks as she quickly looked away. This just made him smile.
"You still gave me a heart attack. I'll never forget this. It was a stupid thing to do but I'm also very proud of you too. Just don't let it happen again, got it?" Ami chided at her in a playful tone as she nudged Jimin back before poking his cheek. The two of them had become best friends almost instantly.
"Yes mother." Mina said, rolling her eyes before letting out a giggle as she felt herself yawn shortly after. She was suddenly feeling very tired and just wanted to sleep. Just then she felt something on her hand, her eyes immediately looking down at it as she realized Yoongi had placed his hand on top of hers. He gave it a soft squeeze before nodding to the bed.
"C'mon Jimin, let's head out. Mina needs her rest and I'm sure so does Ami. It's been a long day already and classes have been dismissed as well. Maybe we can all meet up later?" Yoongi said as he stood up, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked down at Mina.
Ami didn't miss the way Yoongi kept looking at Mina, a small smirk forming on her lips as she wiggled her brows at Jimin who had also noticed. The two of them were secretly trying to get the two of them together. They both just needed a little push.
After Mina and Ami had gotten their rest and dinner had passed, the two of them secretly met up with Jimin and Yoongi in their dorm room, especially since girls and boys weren't allowed in each other's dormitory. The rest of the boys were out and about, leaving the four of them alone. Which was fine for them. Though if Taehyung knew that Ami was currently in Jimin and Yoongis shared room, he'd be jealous and very unhappy.
The four of them spent their time talking, telling stories and laughing. Soon it was getting late and Ami's right eye started to get irritated from the contact she wore to hide her blue eye.
Only Mina and her family knew about her eyes. She felt self conscious about her eyes growing up since she had different colored eyes. She felt like people looked at her weirdly and she thought that they were talking about her so she hid it behind contacts. Now that she's grown up, she began to like her eyes but she grew accustomed to wearing contacts everyday that she just never stopped.
Unconsciously Ami started to rub her right eye and Mina swatted at her hand. "Don't mess with your eye, you'll just irritate it even more."
"Is everything okay, did you get something in your eye?" Jimin asked worried and Ami shook her head and absentmindedly replied "No I'm okay, it's just my contact that's irritating my eye-" she quickly caught herself but it was too late. "Oh, I didn't know you wore contacts." Yoongi said as he took a sip from his drink.
Ami looked at Mina and they mentally talked to each other 'should I just tell them?' Mina nodded 'sure why not.' Ami turned towards them and nodded "Yeah but I only wear one." Jimin and Yoongi stared at her confused and before they could ask Ami continued with her story.
"When I was younger, I acquired heterochromia after suffering from an eye injury that I don't exactly remember about. One day I woke up and my left eye was it's normal brown color, but my right eye was, well..." Ami trailed off before taking a deep breath. She pulled out her phone so she could use her camera as a mirror and carefully took out the contact.
Jimin and Yoongi's view was blocked by the phone so when she put it down they were in awe. "Wow." They both mumbled. Jimin moved closer to get a better view "Woahh, I can't believe you kept this hidden, your eyes are beautiful." Ami felt relieved that she didn't have to hide it from them anymore and she felt happy with his compliment.
"Yeah you should stop wearing the contact, don't be afraid of what anyone thinks. That's what makes you, you." Yoongi said. "And if anyone has a problem with you-" then he glanced at Mina "with both of you, let me know and I'll take care of them."
Mina blushed and Ami thanked both of them. "Thank you guys. That means a lot to me. Growing up I was scared to walk around like this thinking someone would make fun of me but now I got the big and bad Min Yoongi to protect me." Ami teased and Yoongi chuckled at her comment.
"I'm so jealous, your eyes are awesome." Jimin pouted as he held Ami's head to look into her eyes. Ami laughed and pushed Jimin's chest "Don't go falling for me now." She teased and in that moment the rest of the guys walked in.
Someone cleared their throat and Ami quickly moved away from Jimin. She didn't want Taehyung to get the wrong idea. "What's up guys, Ami, Mina. Y'all having a party without us." Hoseok joked as they all walked in and sat down except Taehyung, he leaned against the wall.
Ami bit her lip and glanced at Taehyung but he looked anywhere but her. "Woah Ami, are you wearing contacts?" Jungkook asked and everyone looked at her. She explained what happened again and everyone gave her compliments as well. "Ahh so that's why Jimin was all in your face when we walked in." Hoseok mumbled but everyone heard it.
Ami let out a nervous laugh. Mina decided to change the subject and talk about the quidditch tournament coming up and everyone got excited. Taehyung eventually joined in around them and began to tease them saying that Gryffindor was going to win, earning a high-five from Jungkook.
Soon everyone was talking over each other saying their houses were going to win. Ami and Mina looked at each other laughing "boys am I right" Mina mumbled and Ami laughed before speaking. "Now now, we all know it's going to be Hufflepuff who wins, we're in the lead thanks to Mina."
"Oh right, I'm glad to see you feeling better and not hurt." Seokjin said to Mina.
"Yeah that was really brave of what you did." Namjoon added
Mina smiled. "Thank you, I honestly was really scared because of the giant spiders but thankfully I made it out alive."
"So Jin..." Ami mumbled to get his attention. Jin turned towards her "Yes Ami..." Ami gave him a big smile "I was wondering.... ifyoucouldhelpmetryoutfortheteam." She said in one breath then cheesed at him.
Seokjin blinked at her confused. "Did any one understand anything she just said?"
"No." All of the guys said at the same time while Mina said "Yes." And laughed.
"I want to try out for the team and I was wondering if you could help me out." Ami asked
"Hey why didn't you ask me." Jimin pouted, earning a smack on his arm from Yoongi. "Why would she ask you, you're not in the same house." Jimins mouth soon formed an o shape "oh right" he giggled and Ami laughed then looked back at Jin.
He smiled. "Of course I'll help you. Meet me at the Quidditch Stadium tomorrow after class and we'll get to work."
Ami jumped in her seat in excitement. "Awesome! Thanks Jin, you're the best!"
"I know I am."
"Well, we should probably head out. It's getting really late and Mr. Filch will start roaming the halls soon, don't want to get caught." Mina suggested and Ami agreed.
"Have a good night guys, see you tomorrow." Ami said standing up and glanced at Taehyung who was already looking at her but looked away when she looked at him.
Jin and Hoseok stood up. "We're also going to head out so we can walk you and we're going the same way anyway." Hoseok laughed and then everyone else said their goodbyes and went to their own houses.
"So Yoongi. You and Mina, huh?" Jungkook said with a smirk as he wiggled his eyebrows at his friend. He thought it was cute and Mina was honestly perfect for him. Yoongi just rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders as everyone's eyes were on him now.
"I don't know. I mean, I definitely like her a lot but I'm not sure how she feels about me yet. I've always noticed her just like she's always noticed me but I don't know where it will go. We could stay friends forever at this point. Who knows." He sighed out.
"Don't give up so easily just yet. You two are in the introduction and getting to know one another stage. Give it time. The Christmas Ball is coming up soon. Maybe you can ask her to it." Namjoon chimed in, his eyes never leaving his book.
"Speaking of Christmas Ball. Taehyung, when are you going to quit sulking and ask Ami? I know you want to. Don't give me that look. Just her and I have bonded doesn't mean I'm going to steal her away from you. We're best friends. That's it." Jimin said, a teasing tone to his words as he looked over at Taehyung. The boy was way too obvious for his own good.
"Well it's hard to get a word in when you're following her around all the time. Every time I see her, she's either with you or Mina. Which Mina is fine because they're best friends but you. You need to go away sometimes." Taehyung pouted as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Aww is someone jealous?" Jungkook cooed out before he busted out laughing as Taehyung's face turned red in embarrassment. It was so much fun teasing each other.
"Okay. That's enough." Namjoon said sternly, snapping his book shut as he stood up from his spot. Tucking the book under his arm and adjusting his glasses, he looked at everyone. "Jungkook, Taehyung. Let's go. It's past our bedtime. Yoongi and Taehyung are perfectly capable of making their own decisions just like the rest of us. Teasing is all fun and games until one of us starts bickering and whining." Namjoon said to them all, though it was more directed to Jimin and Jungkook.
"And besides, Jin will never let me hear the end of it if something happens to one of you. You know how he gets." Namjoon sighed out. Jin was the more protective one out of the bunch and Namjoon was like the leader. He was always looking over everyone and whenever they needed help, they came to him. Jin made sure they were all fed, cleaned and clothed. He wasn't afraid to scold any of them either. They were all his babies, especially Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook and if anything happened to them. Well, you better watch out.
With a final goodnight to everyone, the three boys left the Slytherin dorm as they headed back to their own for a good night's rest which left Yoongi and Jimin to themselves.
"Well night Yoongi. I know you'll make the right decision when it comes to Mina just like we know Taehyung will too." Jimin said before letting out a yawn as he crawled underneath the covers, snuggling into his bed.
Yoongi just nodded his head, letting out a small laugh at the sight of Jimin before turning off the lights as he crawled under his covers as well. "Night Chim." Yoongi said before falling asleep, dreaming of a certain shy girl.
