The Man:
"Yeah, like I didn't see this coming."
As one of the Atlantean guards grabs and shoves my head into the floor, I scrape it as I turn my head to look at Aquaman. Standing above me, trident in his hand, surrounded by his guards, he looks right at me.
"Who are you?"
"Call me...water."
I smile and transform. I feel my body quickly melt away. My skin, my bones, everything turns blue as I flow through the Atlantean guards' hands. They try to hold on, but it's no use. I slip through the gaps between their fingers and fall. Falling back into the ocean and onto the ramp, I listen as Aquaman and his guards stare at me with wide eyes.
"I have never seen power like that before!"
"That--That is --- How did he do that!"
"I do not know, my king! You do not know him?"
"No!"
"He was not a part of the Justice League?"
"No! I have never seen that man before."
Aquaman raises his head and looks at the Junker. Raising his trident, Aquaman aims at the Junker.
"Board the ship!"
"Yes, my king!"
As his guards run up the ramp, I burst out of the ocean, water splashing everywhere, the whole golden room and even the Junker shaking. Quickly growing a head and two arms, I pull one of my hands back.
"You didn't step forward with your right foot!"
Swinging my hand at the shaking guards, I slap them all off the ramp. Screaming and yelling as they are either thrown back into the water or onto the floor, I hear familiar voices.
"Oh my god!"
"What the hell!"
"Hey Sunglasses, is that you?"
Turning around, I see the rest of the Insurgency climbing out of the Junker.
"You --- You're made of water," the Professor stutters. "What? How?"
"I told you to stay inside. Why are you outside?"
"Because we thought you might need our help," Kara answers.
"Boy, are we wrong?" Harleen lets out a small chuckle.
"No. No! You aren't supposed to see me like this! Get back inside. Now! Now! Now!"
I grab the Junker and shake it.
"Hey," Ivy yells, "What are you doing? We're your friends! Remember? Ahh!"
While shaking the Junker, I knock Ivy off her feet and into the ocean.
"Hey! You son of a-- "
Cold turning to me with red eyes, raises his cold gun. Shooting it, the blue and white beam hits and freezes one of my arms.
"Saltwater doesn't freeze too well, Cold."
He and I watch as my saltwater arm breaks off and falls into the water. The frozen arm melts almost instantly, reverting to liquid water. Growing a second arm, I look at Cold and everyone else. Opening my mouth, about to tell them to get back inside, I hear a loud footstep, and grunting. Turning around, I see Aquaman pushing himself up.
"No more," he shouts.
Winding his arm up as he steps forward, Aquaman throws his trident at Cold.
"Watch out," Kara yells.
She grabs and pushes Cold behind her, she crosses her arms. She braces for the trident, but I grab it before it can reach her. The trident, falling into my hand, floats around.
"My trident!"
Aquaman runs toward me. He jumps and reaches up, trying to get his trident by swimming inside my hand, but I swing it and send him bouncing back. Looking at him as he struggles to push himself up, and at the Insurgency, I take a deep breath. Breathing in and out, I start dripping.
My head, arms, and body start dripping before falling. They splash and break apart, flooding the room before running back into the ocean. Kneeling in the middle of the room, I shake off the extra water before standing back up, the trident in my hand.
"Tell Ivy I'm sorry about what happened, but in my defense, I told all of you to stay in the Junker."
Kara looks at me as she and Cold help Ivy back up.
"Again, we thought you might need help."
"Of course," Oliver says, he and Todd jumping off and landing inside the room. "That was before we saw you turn yourself into a giant pool of water. A little scary, I don't mind saying."
While Oliver and Todd help the others off the Junker and into the room, I turn to Aquaman. Grinding my teeth, I breathe in and out while walking to him.
"Here, Lord of the Fishy."
Throwing the trident, the sound of it banging against the floor, Aquaman looks at me with narrowed eyes before quickly snatching it. Now, armed with his weapon again, Aquaman aims it at me.
"Are you sure you want to do that? Think carefully, your Highness."
Aquaman looks around at the situation. Despite his guards pushing themselves up and gathering around him, the members of the Insurgency gather around me. Everyone raises their weapons, and it looks like a fight may break out any second. Looking at Aquaman and his guards, and then at the members, I raise my hand and place it on Beetle's arm cannon.
"Easy, Bug Boy. We're guests here."
"Que?"
"All of you. Easy. Lower your weapons. Remember. We are not here for a fight."
"What?"
"Oh, you have to be kidding me?"
"No way!"
Everyone keeps their weapons up and their fingers on the triggers. I try to lower Beetle's arm cannon, but he keeps it up. Even Kara's eyes are glowing bright red.
"Everyone, no!"
Moving fast, I swing my hands and pull some water from the nearby ocean. Bending the water into a circle, it spins faster and faster until it explodes, knocking everyone back. While everyone is struggling to stay on their feet, I stomp my foot, swing my hands, and raise my arms. Pulling more water from the ocean, I build a sort of "wall" that divides the whole room. Inhaling deeply, I then cup my mouth and breathe heavily. A white fog comes out of my mouth and hits the water wall, turning it into ice instantly.
Now, inhaling through my nose, I breathe calmly through my mouth while slowly resting my hands.
Opening my eyes, I see Aquaman's guards shooting at the wall. Their plasma rifles make cracks in the ice, but they barely scratch the surface. Even Aquaman is trying to break the ice. He swings his trident all over the wall before throwing it. The trident does work better than the plasma rifle. Aquaman's trident goes into the wall, but the wall stays standing.
Watching as Aquaman pulls his trident from the small gap, I walk up to the wall and knock on it.
"Hello, your Highness," I say, Aquaman growling like a guard dog as he looks at me. "We didn't come for a fight. This isn't an invasion. None of us cares enough about your stupid kingdom to want to rule it, and besides, I don't really like sushi."
Aquaman, looking at me, pulls out his trident before slamming it down, the sound of the golden tip hitting the marble floor echoing in everyone's ears.
"You told me you came to help," Aquaman finally says.
"Yes, and yet, you and your men still tried to attack me."
Aquaman stays quiet for a few minutes before speaking again.
"Who are you?"
"Who I am is not important. What I have to tell you is."
"What's that?"
Aquaman jumps when I reach into my pocket, but calms down when he sees me pulling out my cell phone. Bringing up the pictures of Superman and his Hex-tron 40,000 submarines, I grab them off my screen and throw them into the air.
"We have reasons to believe Superman is coming to Atlantis. Why, we don't know, but we figure we would give you and your... "fish friends" a head-up."
"Atlantis's defenses--"
"Atlantis's defenses won't be enough! These are Hex-tron 40,000 submarines. Normally, they're only for deep-sea exploration, but these subs have been heavily modified with reinforced plating and weaponry. Not to mention, Superman also has Yellow Lanterns with him."
Pulling and throwing some more pictures into the air, I show Sinestro and a small army of yellow lanterns surrounding the submarines and boats.
"In case the news didn't reach you all the way at the bottom of the sea, Sinestro and his Yellow Lantern Corps destroyed the Green Lantern. They....They reached out to us for help, but it wasn't enough. We were too late."
Waving my hand through the air, all the pictures with Superman's submarines and Sinestro's yellow lanterns disappear.
Again, Aquaman is looking at me through the ice wall. He's not growling like a dog anymore, but judging from how his eyes keep going up and down, he must be sizing me up. Finally, Aquaman turns around and raises his trident.
"All of you, fall back."
"My lord?"
"Now! Guards, fall back immediately."
Aquaman's guards do as they are ordered and step back. Aquaman then turns back to me.
"Can you lower this wall?"
I nod and cup my nose this time. Inhaling and exhaling through my nose, the ice wall turns back into water. It falls and splashes all of us.
"Follow me," Aquaman says, turning around. Walking through a pair of giant doors covered in golden emblems, Aquaman passes his guards before they gather behind him.
"Follow him," I say, nudging my head. "Or, at least, follow me."
Slade, Todd, Oliver, and everyone look at each other before lowering their arms. They walk behind me as I walk behind Aquaman and his guards.
