"I have absolutely no interest in eating you now, let's just grab something to make do for now, and go see Grandma at the old house in the evening, okay?"

Su Li pushed him away and then got up herself, heading into the kitchen. Knowing the fridge was likely empty, she rummaged through it and, finding no noodles left at all, discovered only a few packs of instant noodles. Then, she boiled water, cooked the noodles, and added two eggs, serving up two bowls of noodles in a matter of minutes.
"Though it's not very healthy, it's late and we'll make do with this meal."
Wei Chengfeng, on the other hand, had no objections. For him, being able to sit peacefully and dine with her like this was already a very happy occasion.
"You're going back to the office later, aren't you?"
Wei Chengfeng responded with a quiet acknowledgment.
After they finished eating, Su Li was about to take the dishes to the kitchen when Wei Chengfeng followed her in and swept her up in his arms.
