An end always in sight... After experiences with the Sea of Knowledge, White Bull, and Backward Golden Rain among other settings, Ash had become quite calm in accepting this new setting.
"Where are we now?" Ash glanced at the alleyway; the golden-haired little girl peeking from the corner quickly retreated, but soon she carefully poked her little head out again, curiously staring at them.
"Dream Bubble Shadow," Sonia said. "Basically, a dream."
"Whose dream?"
"A mage's dream."
"A mage's dream?" Ash was startled, puzzled as if he had been struck by a fist. "Mages have dreams?"
Though occasionally, Ash would lazily nap on the carpet with Liss, he was definitely an anomaly among mages. Most mages would have gotten enough rest in the Void Realm and would be full of energy all day after returning to reality, not needing any rest—and if they did rest, they should have done it in the Void Realm.
What kind of serious mage sleeps!
