The morning had already passed by more than half, and five out of the six scheduled exams had been completed. At this point, there was just one more left.
Lu Jing was so hungry that he didn't even feel like moving. They had just drawn six or maybe seven tubes of blood from him, leaving him feeling light-headed and numb.
Fortunately, this last exam wasn't too taxing, as he didn't need to move while lying down on the exam table.
Combining hunger with sleepiness, he almost fell asleep for real.
It was only after the examination room doctor called out to him twice that he snapped back to reality.
"Ms. Lu, Ms. Lu."
"Ah?"
"It's done. The exam is complete."
"Oh, okay, sorry about that."
"No problem. It must have been tiring, having been here all morning, right? Would you like some water?"
"No, no, thank you."
