Motan let out a long breath after 'spacing out' in front of the tabletop for an unknown amount of time. He moved his gaze away from the densely arranged alchemical chess pieces in front of him. The tightly strained expression on his face finally relaxed slightly, only to shift into his usual "under immense pressure" demeanor in the very next second.
[No matter what, at least the fog that's been lingering in front of me has been cleared away a little…]
Motan absentmindedly toyed with a black chess piece, twirling it rapidly between his fingers with a hint of pretension. Amid waves of pressure-induced stomach pain, he managed to force out a faint smile.
