An entirely terrific scene was going on in Xiao Ming's mind.
The egg was like a black hole, even similar in appearance because of its deep obsidian hue. The pores it opened were powered by a supernatural force from the phoenix within.
Earlier, the Shadow Phoenix had already told him that the egg was close to hatching. Then, he recalled that when he first entered the dark realm, it buzzed and fell silent. Maybe it had been foreshadowing this present timeline.
If Xiao Ming had not entered the dark realm, he might not have been dragged through trans-dimensional means to reach this strange prison zone. He also might not have come close to this great abundance of resentment and yin energy now freely offered to it.
Xiao Ming could see the egg first release a pure silver-colored gas that was odorless to the atmosphere around the center. The gas congealed into mist that refined the resentment energy as though passing through a yin furnace into the purest form of yin energy.
