Chapter 20 - Chapter 19 - Scolding and Sona Date

Sorry for the delay. Life is shet. I just graduated from college and I am officially unemployed.

That aside, I'm going to ask once again for suggestions.

For reward.

For the world to visit.

Also, I'm thinking of a new fic. MC is Futa Rangiku or maybe Horrible. Not sure yet. I don't even know what world to start. But the premise will be similar to this.

Anyway, enjoy. Next chap is wholesome with anthro Yamato smut.

========

After a while, the trio lay sprawled across the bed, catching their breath as they eased into a more relaxed mood. The conversation picked up again—light and teasing—just before things would take another turn.

"So," Akeno purred with a playful glint in her eye, "are you excited to have Grayfia around? I bet it won't take long before she offers herself to you. With your charm, it's practically inevitable."

Rias chuckled, lounging beside them with a mock pout.

"Is that true, Yamato? Don't forget—you've already got a long line of women waiting for you." Her voice held a teasing edge, feigning jealousy, though everyone knew she didn't really mind. Devils had lifespans that stretched into eternity—time was never an issue.

"I know," Yamato replied calmly. The reason the other girls weren't with them tonight was simple—it just wasn't their turn. They had lost a playful game where the bet was who would get to spend the night with her.

"I still have a date with Sona tomorrow," Yamato added with a small sigh, a flicker of guilt in her voice. She'd been meaning to catch up with Sona, but the past few days had been more... intense than expected.

"When is Grayfia supposed to arrive?" Yamato asked, shifting the topic. "It'd be good to prepare before she gets here."

"If I remember right, my brother said she'll be arriving tomorrow afternoon," Rias replied thoughtfully.

"Is that so? Well, there are plenty of vacant rooms she can use," Yamato replied with a nod, before turning her attention to Akeno with a softer expression.

"That aside… how are you feeling?" she asked gently, her voice laced with warmth. "Our little bundle of joy will be here soon."

Akeno's face lit up with a serene smile as she lovingly cradled her rounded belly. Her pregnancy, accelerated by her supernatural heritage, had only lasted two months—and now, at one month and three weeks in, the big day was just a week away.

"I feel wonderful," Akeno said softly. "I'm so excited to finally meet them."

Yamato reached out, her hand resting tenderly on Akeno's stomach. Just then, a small but firm kick pushed against her palm.

"Ah!" Akeno gasped, eyes wide with delight. "Dear, they kicked! I think they're just as eager to meet us!"

Yamato chuckled warmly, her heart full as she leaned down to press a gentle kiss to Akeno's belly. Then, she turned to glance at Rias, who sat nearby with a small but noticeable baby bump of her own—only a week into her own pregnancy, yet already glowing with quiet anticipation.

"Umu, I can't wait to see if they'll be just as lively as their older siblings," Rias said with a playful smile, nuzzling deeper into Yamato's embrace.

"Though with you as their parent, I don't think they'll have much of a choice."

Yamato chuckled, wrapping her arms around Rias and pulling her close. "Hey, I'll have you know I'm a wonderful influence," she said with mock offense, then grinned. "If they end up energetic, flirty, and impossible to keep up with… well, I'm blaming you two."

Rias giggled softly, leaning into her warmth. "Fine. We'll share the blame."

=======

The next day, Yamato was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen, the gentle clatter of utensils mixing with the soft hum of conversation behind her. Akeno sat on the couch nearby, tenderly rubbing her belly while chatting and laughing with the other girls. Across the room, Tiamat rested comfortably, her own belly noticeably larger—quadruplets tended to have that effect.

Tomoe was lounging quietly, her attention locked on a historical Sengoku drama playing on the TV, while Mio stood beside Yamato, helping slice vegetables with smooth precision.

Yamato glanced around the room with quiet contentment. Three women were already carrying her children—Tiamat, Rias, and Akeno. That meant she only needed four more before she could complete the condition to leave this world. The thought lingered for a moment before she gently pushed it aside. There was no need to rush.

Her eyes briefly wandered to the others. Technically, she could have impregnated more of them. It would've given her more strength, more power—but that wasn't how she wanted it. Love had to come first. She didn't want her children to be the result of convenience or strategy. They deserved better.

Besides, her unique ability only activated when the person she slept with truly loved her. Half-hearted feelings wouldn't be enough.

As Yamato quietly stirred the pot, lost in her thoughts, the chime of the doorbell broke the calm.

"That must be Grayfia," Rias said, rising to her feet with a small smile. "She said she'd be here by noon."

Yamato turned to Mio and handed her the spoon. "Can you take over for a bit, Mio?"

"Of course," Mio replied with a nod and a soft smile.

Wiping her hands, Yamato walked over to Rias, who was already heading toward the door.

"Let's go greet her," Yamato said, her voice calm but curious. "It's been a while since I last saw Grayfia in person."

"Just try not to charm her into bed on the first day," Rias teased with a smirk as they reached the hallway.

Yamato smirked back. "No promises."

The two made their way to the front door, and as it opened, they were greeted by the gorgeous maid Grayfia Lucifuge, standing in her usual dignified posture.

"Lady Rias. Yamato," she said with a polite nod, her voice as calm and refined as always.

"Welcome, Grayfia," Yamato greeted her warmly, offering a smile that was both charming and relaxed.

But just as Rias stepped forward to greet her, she suddenly paused, her expression shifting. A hand flew to her mouth.

"Ugh… excuse me!" Rias quickly turned away and rushed down the hall, clearly struggling to hold back the sudden wave of nausea.

Grayfia blinked in surprise, her composed demeanor faltering for just a second. She turned to Yamato, raising an eyebrow. "...Is she unwell?"

Yamato rubbed the back of her neck, giving an awkward, sheepish grin. "Ah… yeah, about that… I may have, uh… gotten her pregnant."

Grayfia stared for a moment, processing the words. Her lips parted slightly as if to respond—but nothing came out right away.

Grayfia's expression hardened the moment Yamato's words sank in. Devil fertility was notoriously low and Conception among devils, especially at a young age, was considered incredibly rare, even bordering on miraculous.

The only known exception was the Phenex clan, whose bloodline granted them unusually high fertility.

But Rias… Rias was still in high school. A Gremory heiress with responsibilities—and now she was expecting a child?

Grayfia's eyes narrowed, not in anger, but in stern disapproval. She was already drafting a mental lecture for both of them, especially for Yamato, who seemed far too casual about the situation.

Still, now wasn't the time for lectures. Rias had rushed off looking pale and sick, and Grayfia's instincts as both a caretaker and a fellow woman took precedence.

"I will address this later," she said curtly, stepping past Yamato with quiet urgency.

"For now, Rias needs assistance."

Yamato felt a heavy, unmistakable pressure radiating from Grayfia's presence—calm yet oppressive, like a silent storm held back by sheer will. It sent a chill down her spine.

'Yeah… I might've really screwed up this time.' she thought grimly.

Without a word, Yamato followed Grayfia inside.

Akeno, lounging comfortably on the couch, looked up as they entered. Her expression brightened when she saw Grayfia. "Welcome, Grayfia. It's been a while—"

But then she paused, sensing the subtle shift in the room. Grayfia's aura, though carefully restrained, pulsed with intensity as her steely gaze briefly passed over Yamato… then softened slightly as it landed on Rias, who was still recovering from her nausea.

Akeno's eyes sparkled with amusement as she immediately caught on.

"Oh my… Someone's in trouble," she sang playfully, flashing a teasing smile at Yamato.

Once Rias had recovered and was comfortably settled, Grayfia wasted no time. She sat both Rias and Yamato down in the living room, her posture rigid, hands neatly folded in her lap. The stern glint in her eyes made it clear—this was not going to be a casual chat.

"I... don't even know where to begin," Grayfia admitted, her usually composed tone edged with visible frustration. "When exactly did this happen?"

Rias shifted slightly, a faint blush creeping across her cheeks. "Before the Rating Game with Raiser," she answered quietly.

Grayfia blinked. "That was barely a week ago," she said, her voice tightening. "How are you already showing symptoms? Devils don't develop that quickly."

Yamato raised a hand calmly. "That's because of my unique physiology. My pregnancies tend to progress at an accelerated rate. Full term takes only two months."

Grayfia's eyes widened in disbelief. "Two months…?"

Yamato nodded. "Akeno is due to give birth sometime next week."

Grayfia turned slowly toward Akeno, stunned. Akeno, lounging with a hand on her belly, gave a small wave and a mischievous smirk.

"Surprise," she said with playful sweetness.

Grayfia looked between the two with a mixture of disbelief and concern. She pressed a hand to her temple, trying to collect her thoughts.

"Do you even realize how irresponsible this is?" she asked, her voice sharp but not unkind. "Becoming a parent is not something to take lightly. It's a lifelong commitment, and far from easy."

Yamato met her gaze without flinching. "I know," she said steadily. "But I wouldn't have taken that step if I wasn't absolutely sure. I've already prepared myself—for all of it."

Grayfia studied her carefully, searching for doubt, for hesitation… but found none. With a long sigh, she turned to Rias.

"You need to inform your parents," she said gently, though her tone left no room for argument.

Rias nodded, her eyes lowering slightly. "I will," she promised. "Just… not yet. The timing isn't right."

Grayfia exhaled again, her shoulders finally relaxing a little as the tension in the room began to ease. Sensing the shift, Yamato decided to steer the conversation in a lighter direction.

"Well, now that that's settled," she said with a small smile, "let me show you to your room. You've had a long trip."

As Yamato and Grayfia started down the hall, Tiamat's voice floated from the living room with a teasing lilt.

"Try not to flirt too hard, Yamato. Grayfia might just fall for you~"

Grayfia didn't respond, her expression unchanged—but the slight twitch at the corner of her mouth hinted she'd heard it.

Yamato merely chuckled, glancing back over her shoulder.

"No promises," she called lightly, before turning her attention back to Grayfia as they continued walking.

The hallway was quiet, the soft padding of their footsteps the only sound between them for a few moments. Yamato finally broke the silence.

"I really am sorry about all this," she said, her tone sincere.

"I never meant to cause any trouble for Rias… or for you."

Grayfia glanced sideways at her, expression unreadable.

"As long as you understand the weight of your actions and are willing to face the consequences," she said calmly.

"Then that's what matters."

Yamato nodded. "I do." Her voice dropped just slightly, more relaxed.

"Still, having you here to work for us. I can't help but feel a little touched. You're quite reliable and stunning from what I can see."

Grayfia gave her a sidelong glance, one silvery brow arching just a fraction. "I'm simply doing my job as Gremory maid. And Flattery won't soften my stance on this matter."

"Who said I was trying to flatter you?" Yamato replied with a smirk, opening the door to a spacious guest room. "I'm just stating facts."

Grayfia stepped inside, giving the room a quick, approving glance. "Hmph… A convenient talent, that charm of yours." she murmured almost to herself.

But Yamato caught it—and so did the faint color dusting Grayfia's cheeks before she turned her back to set down her bag.

By the time lunch rolled around, the delicious aroma filled the air, drawing everyone to the dining room. Plates were passed around, and the table was soon full of laughter and conversation.

Despite Yamato's gentle insistence that she rest after her trip, Grayfia had quietly taken it upon herself to help set the table—graceful and composed, as always.

"I appreciate it, Grayfia, but you're a guest," Yamato said, placing the last dish down with a warm smile.

Grayfia gave a curt nod, her tone cool but not unfriendly. "I may be a guest, but I'm not helpless. Besides, it's habit."

Just then, Koneko appeared, her movements sleepy and slow as she rubbed one eye. Her small frame was dressed in casual clothes, and both her fuzzy cat ears and twin tails were out in full display—a rare sight for the usually reserved Nekoshou.

Grayfia's sharp gaze immediately fell on her, narrowing slightly. Koneko rarely revealed her features so openly unless she was completely relaxed… or emotionally exposed. The implication was clear to someone like Grayfia.

Koneko noticed the stare and gave a small bow, her voice soft but polite. "Good afternoon, Grayfia."

"Afternoon," Grayfia replied, her tone unreadable, though her eyes lingered thoughtfully.

Yamato, already seated, reached over and gently patted Koneko's head with a teasing smile. "Sleep well, kitten?"

Koneko gave a quiet nod, cheeks faintly tinted pink. "Mhm. Just… tired."

Yamato chuckled softly. "That's what happens when you overdo it."

Dinner was a full-blown event in the household—noisy, chaotic, and undeniably warm.

Grayfia initially stood to the side, arms folded and expression neutral, clearly intending to maintain her professional distance. But Yamato, with that usual mix of sincerity and charm, gently insisted.

"Come on, Grayfia. You traveled all this way. At least join us for one meal."

After a pause—and a roomful of hopeful glances—she sighed and reluctantly took a seat, though she chose the far end of the table… for now.

The table was already bustling with energy. Akeno and Rias, seated on either side of Yamato, were locked in a low-stakes but high-drama battle of affection—each determined to feed Yamato the next bite.

"Say ahh~," Akeno cooed, holding out a piece of grilled fish with her chopsticks.

"Hey! I was about to feed her that!" Rias huffed, pushing forward with a morsel of her own. "Yamato, mine first!"

Caught in the middle, Yamato could only chuckle, mouth half-full, not entirely sure whose food she'd just eaten.

Meanwhile, Koneko had somehow claimed Yamato's lap without a word, her small frame curled comfortably as she munched on her own plate like it was the most natural seat in the world. She didn't say much, but the occasional tail flick brushing against Yamato's side was statement enough: she wasn't moving anytime soon.

Across the table, Mio and Tomoe sulked visibly, seated beside each other in silent defeat. Both had lost the earlier bet on who would get to sit next to Yamato, and neither was taking it particularly well.

"Tch. Rigged," Mio muttered, stabbing her food.

"We'll win next time," Tomoe added, trying to stay composed—but her glare at Rias was anything but subtle.

Tiamat, on the other hand, looked entirely unbothered by the chaos. With her usual elegance, she simply enjoyed her meal, calmly sipping from her glass and occasionally letting out a low, amused chuckle at the competition around her.

Grayfia glanced across the table, her silver eyes flicking between the overly-affectionate girls and Yamato, who was clearly in the center of it all—figuratively and literally.

========

Sona stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her collar for the third time, then smoothing the front of her blouse… again. Her sharp, intelligent gaze flicked over her reflection with a rare uncertainty.

She wore a sleek high-waisted pair of black dress pants, paired with a white chiffon blouse that had long puff sleeves and a delicate tie at the neck. It was modest yet stylish—professional, but with a subtle elegance. Her black heels added just enough height to complement the outfit without feeling too bold.

"Is this too formal?" she wondered, tilting her head slightly.

"Maybe the sleeves are too much? Or the heels too high?"

Sona sighed softly, tugging at her sleeves once more. "No, this should be fine… right? I didn't want to seem too casual. But what if she thinks I'm trying too hard?"

She glanced at her phone on the vanity, rereading Yamato's last message:

[Yamato: Don't stress too much. It's just a fun outing—nothing fancy. ]

Nothing fancy.

And yet here she was—dressed like she was attending a student council conference, her heart thudding harder than it had during most of her Rating Games.

"I hope she likes it," she murmured to herself, clasping her hands in front of her nervously. She didn't want to overdress, but the idea of looking plain in front of Yamato made her stomach twist. Somehow, making a good impression on her felt more nerve-wracking than any formal event she'd ever attended.

She adjusted her glasses, took a deep breath, and tried to collect herself—only to immediately second-guess her hairstyle.

"Should I have gone with a different clip? Maybe the ribbon's too much…"

Meanwhile, Yamato pulled up to the Sitri residence, the quiet hum of the engine cutting through the soft afternoon breeze. She parked just outside the gate, stepping out with casual ease.

Her outfit a simple, form-fitting white t-shirt that clung gently to her frame, the soft fabric hinting at the toned figure beneath.

Over it, a bold red cardigan hung open, the sleeves casually pushed up to her elbows, giving her a relaxed, confident look. Her hands slipped comfortably into the pockets of dark, fitted trousers, completing the laid-back but striking ensemble.

Pulling out her phone, Yamato sent a quick text.

[Yamato: I'm outside. Ready when you are.]

The reply came almost instantly.

[Sona: I'm coming down now.]

Moments later, the door opened—and there she was.

Sona stepped out, a little hesitant at first. Her heels clicked softly on the stone path as she approached, her eyes flickering nervously toward Yamato, looking for any hint of reaction. Her cheeks were already a delicate shade of pink.

Yamato's gaze naturally drifted from Sona's carefully chosen outfit up to her flustered expression. Her smile widened.

"You look amazing," Yamato said, genuine and warm.

Sona glanced away, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Is… is it too much?" she asked, tugging lightly at her sleeve.

Yamato chuckled, shaking her head. "Not at all. You look beautiful, Sona. Honestly, I might be underdressed standing next to you."

The blush on Sona's cheeks deepened, but a small, proud smile crept across her lips. "Thank you," she murmured.

With a grin, Yamato opened the car door for her.

"Come on. Our awesome date's about to start—and I have a feeling it's going to be unforgettable."

The car rolled smoothly down the road as the afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the city. Inside, the atmosphere was light and relaxed. Soft music played in the background while Yamato and Sona chatted comfortably.

"Grayfia actually gave us a full-on lecture," Yamato said with a grin, one hand on the wheel as she glanced at Sona. "She even had that terrifying aura going—like we were on trial."

Sona giggled behind her hand, her expression both amused and knowing. "I'm not surprised. She takes her role very seriously… though I can imagine how flustered Rias must've been."

Yamato laughed. "Oh, she tried to act like it didn't bother her. But she was gripping my arm the entire time."

The laughter slowly faded into a quieter moment, and Yamato glanced over again. "You know," she said casually, "I remember you mentioned… wanting to have a child with me too. A son, right?"

Sona blushed, her fingers fidgeting lightly with the hem of her blouse. "I… I've been considering it," she admitted softly. "But it's not exactly something I can decide lightly. We're still in school, and... well, the responsibility is huge."

Yamato nodded thoughtfully, her expression calm.

"Of course. It's your choice, Sona. I'd never rush you into something like that. Akeno really wanted it—she was sure about it from the start. And Rias… that kind of just happened in the heat of the moment."

She glanced back at the road, giving Sona space to think.

"You don't need to rush anything. I'll support whatever you decide."
