Instead, he looked out the tavern window. Out at the night-washed streets of Ront City. Lanterns swung gently. Fog hugged the cobblestones like a whisper. And in the distance, a patrol of armored NPC guards walked by, footsteps echoing softly.
"My plan?" Allen said at last. "Is already in motion."
Elio blinked. "Wait… what do you mean?"
Allen turned back to them, his eyes catching the firelight just so—reflecting nothing.
"I'm not here to stop her," he said. "I'm here to let her fall."
