Suga's blue eyes didn't blink. He stared at the ceiling for a long moment, still lying in bed with the blanket pulled halfway up his body. His thoughts moved slowly, trying to piece together everything that had led him here— lying in a room he didn't recognize, surrounded by unfamiliar air.
The one thing he knew for sure he'd met Hendrick at the airport so suddenly, so precisely timed, it felt as if the man had been waiting for him, as if the whole thing had been scripted in advance. Suga wasn't even surprised. Not really. Not when it came to Hendrick and the kind of power that man wielded. But even so— could that man really have shut down an entire airport?
No… that didn't seem possible. And it couldn't have been Zion's doing either.
Based on the timing, Jesse had told him that Zion's men had been searching for him since early in the morning— if this had been Zion's doing, then the airport would've already been locked down long before Suga ever got there.
