Chapter 238 - UPDATE

Hi guys, sorry for the recent inactivity. I finally managed to secure my legal internship for the next six months. On top of that, I've been reading a lot of Warhammer Fantasy books to help build the storyline for another fanfic. I've also noticed that interest in this story has dropped quite a bit, probably due to how slowly I've been uploading new chapters.

As for what concerns us here, I have two options for you regarding how the story could proceed. Because I wanted to finish it soon, I ended up cutting a lot of content, and to be honest, even I feel the latest chapters have been rushed and somewhat forced just to reach the ending quickly. As I mentioned before, only about 30 chapters are left to wrap everything up.

Option one is that I stick to the plan and finish the story in 30 chapters or less this month, using what I've already written and wrapping it up quickly.

Option two is to expand the story significantly, but instead of posting often, I would do large updates every 15th of the month, releasing 10 to 15 chapters at once. These would be packed with story and would allow me to flesh out everything properly. In that case, instead of 30 chapters, the final count might be around 60 to 80, but it would let me finish every arc I originally planned without cutting anything.

Here are some examples of ideas and chapters I cut—mostly because people complained about the interlude-style chapters or said I was straying too far from the main plot:

5 third-person chapters showing the Prussians' reaction to arriving in Westeros (written but never posted)

2 chapters about Finnish infiltration in Dorne (written but never posted)

8 chapters of the Prussian company in the Summer Islands

3 chapters about the Prussian bank's conflict with the banks of Essos

2 third-person chapters from the Dothraki perspective

Undeveloped idea: A Prussian captain/admiral tries to circumnavigate the world (2–5 chapters)

Undeveloped idea: a hidden war between the Finns and the Faceless Men

Incomplete idea: Aleksanteri uses his knowledge of the Faceless Men to replace Roose Bolton

Chapters showing Robert Baratheon working as a mercenary in Essos, fighting alongside Lothar

Lothar in Valyria, trying to obtain all the steel or its secrets to fight a dragon of monstrous proportions

Aleksanteri hunting down a Greyjoy like a rat as he tries to hide

The final part is deciding how to end the story—though I already have that figured out. All that's left is your opinion.
