Qiao Feng stepped in first, carrying a food container almost as big as his torso. Behind him, Qiang Zhi followed, holding a stack of steaming boxes.
Su Jiyai jumped up, eyes wide, standing right in front of the alchemist's workstation like a human shield. She forced a stiff smile. "Oh, wow! That's, uh, great! Perfect timing, really!"
Neither of them even blinked at the glowing green glyph slowly rotating above her shoulder.
Su Jiyai froze for a second. Then she slowly tilted her head and looked behind her.
The Alchemist was still there, calmly grinding ingredients into a shimmering bowl, like nothing had happened.
But… Qiao Feng and Qiang Zhi weren't reacting at all.
They didn't even glance in that direction.
Su Jiyai's shoulders relaxed a little. So they can't see it… thank god.
She gave a casual cough. "Sorry, I was just… uh… organizing stuff."
Qiao Feng blinked. "What stuff?"
"Inventory management," she said quickly. "You know. Sorting supplies and all that..."
