Chapter 627 - Chapter 627: Moving Catastrophe? Trouble Maker!

Eastern Territory, Kingdom of Tiago.

"You've received the news, haven't you? There's a group of frost giants waging war in the west. Even their gods have joined in," said a coldly elegant silver-haired girl sitting at the head of a round conference table in a towering ice palace. She glanced around at the twelve other legendary figures seated around the table.

"I sensed that disturbance a while ago. It seems those ice and snow evil gods are having an internal conflict?" A refined silver-haired youth seated just below her lifted his gaze from the book in front of him.

"According to our intelligence, one of our kin may have caused this war, but his situation is not looking good."

"So what?" Another girl with a nonchalant expression raised her head. Her long silver dragon horns and icy silver eyes clearly indicated her non-human identity. "He hasn't asked for our help, and it seems he doesn't need it."

"But His Majesty, the Dragon King, has ordered us to assist him," the silver-haired girl at the head rubbed her temples. With the Dragon King's command, there was no room for discussion. She could only ponder how best to carry out the order.

"So, what we are discussing now is not whether to help our kin, but how many dragons to send to assist him."

"I have a question. What's the name of this dragon who started the war?"

"Muria Iapetos Elonsas!"

"That name sounds familiar. I think I've heard it somewhere before."

"Thirty-three years ago, he caused a massive godfall event. Only a dark maiden remains active in the Drow Pantheon; all other gods have fallen silent."

"He seems to be quite a troublemaker, stirring up disputes among the frost giants now that he's here," remarked an elegant silver dragon, frowning at Muria's exploits.

Such beings are numerous in dragon records, with various titles like Child of the Era, Child of Misfortune, or Moving Catastrophe. Their lives are often fraught with disasters, and wherever they go, misfortune follows. However, surviving these calamities usually brings great benefits.

The dragon clan recently had an Era's Child who survived all disasters and successfully ascended to Dragon King.

"If I remember correctly, he is related to our newly crowned Dragon King, Imos."

"He's His Majesty Imos' grandson, so since he is in danger, we must rescue him!"

"As expected of the Dragon King's descendant," a silver dragon girl scoffed.

"I recall he isn't a pureblood dragon but a hybrid."

"That doesn't affect our duty to aid him. His royal bloodline is enough."

"So, how many dragons should we send to support him?"

"According to information from His Majesty, the prince is currently facing twenty-four legendaries, including one high-tier, eight mid-tier, and the rest low-tier legendaries, along with an army of over one hundred thousand frost giants."

"Even if we muster all our kingdom's strength, it wouldn't be enough."

"Our strength alone isn't enough, but the prince has already stalemated them with his retinue. We just need to tip the scales in his favor."

"In that case, sending one high-tier legendary should be sufficient," suggested a human at the far end of the table, looking at the silver-haired girl who was the kingdom's ruler.

"That might suffice, but it's not enough. The Dragon King's order is to end the war swiftly because the noise is disturbing his rest."

"So we all have to go?" asked a silver dragon girl.

"I have a question. If we assist, will the prince reward us appropriately?"

"If I were him, I wouldn't. He didn't ask for help; we are volunteering."

"But after winning the war, how could he not reward us?"

"Would you be willing to pay the price of ten ancient dragons?"

"Hmm, true. But he should give something, right?"

"I say this isn't the time to think about that. Even if the prince doesn't pay a single copper, we must all go. This is the Dragon King's order. Do you dare disobey?"

"No."

"Then let's move out!"

...

Lightning and flames blazed, golden light illuminating the dark gray sky. Muria, fighting with all his might, shone like a sun high in the sky.

"Your strength is truly pitiful," Muria laughed wildly, using one frost giant's body as a weapon to smash another legendary frost giant.

The sound of bones cracking and angry roars filled the air, accompanied by blood splattering in the sky.

"Frostbite Sky!" A white dragon danced gracefully in the sky, drawing elegant arcs. Under this graceful dragon dance, a strong elemental fluctuation spread, extinguishing the flames on the cage, freezing the lightning, and bringing a freezing cold that could freeze everything.

Although the lightning prison was extinguished, the dragon flames on Muria's body never went out, representing his unyielding fighting spirit. He felt the shackles within him breaking faster and faster; he was about to advance again.

"Come on!" Muria, now showing dragon features, roared excitedly, transforming into a stream of light, rushing towards the ice dragon still casting spells to suppress him.

"Stop him, don't let him disrupt my spellcasting." The ice dragon roared. It was casting a legendary spell, not only suppressing Muria but also affecting other legendary battles.

"Titan, can you feel it? Your imminent defeat," a huge white snake hissed, its 300-meter-long body coiling around Muria, as if to crush him like the mountain it had encircled when it first appeared.

Muria did not respond. He sensed the deadly threat, his dragon wings flapping to escape the white snake's coil. He had already experienced the overwhelming power of this snake, far superior to his own.
