Chapter 55 - Mandar Schions power

Mandar Schion only had combat experience from sparring with the mages of the mages guild in order to test out his newly created and modified spells.

He had never truly been in danger before and this moment of danger caused him to panick. After all he relied on his mages in order to acquire the materials and monsters he needed.

The black dagger that had punctured through his lung also brought a new yet familiar sensation and that was obscene pain. This pain made Mandar Schion desperate to find a solution to his current dilemma.

It didn't take him long to find one as he remembered what he was.He was a powerful pioneer in spatial magic especially in replicating space and reverting an object to its previous state of space.

Mandar Schion weakly grabbed the tip of the shadow dagger.Grimdank who had gotten past the spatial erasure barrier with his ability to temporarily enter and exit the shadow realm in order to stab Mandar smirked seeing this pitiful action.

Once Mandar Schion grabbed the shadow dagger it vanished from spatial erasure.

"Fool if you remove it you'll just bleed out quicker."Grimdank shook his head at the futility of Mandars gesture but this stopped once he saw what happened next.

The crimson gaping wound leaking rivulets of blood on Mandars chest suddenly vanished and even his robe looked brand new and unblemished.

"Wha...what did you do?.That was supposed to be a critical injury."Grimdanks face dropped. This was the royal captain they knew the least about so it made sense but still.

The goblins like all the creatures turned by the fog had the ability to assimilate the strengh, knowledge and abilities of creatures they consumed. After the goblins consumed a human known as Torrent they had gained not only the knowledge of a powerful mage but also knowledge of Ring City's defenses and about the 12 royal guard captains and their capabilities.

With this knowledge and the fact that they felt they had grown powerful enough they then attacked Ring City. They had also attacked farms on the outskirts of Zadrial city to the south of the Derbyshire woods but they didn't attack it as they didn't have much information on that theocracy.

To the goblins there was nothing more dangerous then the unknown.Grimdank knew that the leader of the mages guild kept his studies secret.Who knew what he had been working on his whole life.

"It would be illogical to tell you what I did.Now your going to enter a world beyond your comprehension.Prepare to become my research subject."Mandar grinned and a shiver crawled up Grimdanks spine.

Grimdank felt the unsinkable urge to enter the shadow realm and return to the wave of green but found himself unable to enter the different layer of reality.

"Confused aren't you?."Mandar took in the goblins look of growing desperation.Mandar had simply modified his spatial erasure barrier and spatially locked the area inside of it.Simply put the goblin wouldn't be able to enter any elemental realms or teleport and warp within this 10m semi-spherical space.

Mandar reinforced his body with mana bringing it from the low A class to the mid A class. He then slowly approached Grimdank and the shadow goblin tried to charge at Mandar with his far inferior low A class reflexes.Mandar simply casted a unique spell developed by his grandfather who specialised in creating separate spaces as well as closing and locking spaces.

The spell was similar to the spatial inventory spell but it was used for living creatures and entities. It locked creatures in a sort of separate space or even separate dimension where they could survive for prolonged periods of time by subsisting off the mana of the caster.

Mandar planned to store Grimdank and interrogate him for his magical knowledge and then dissect him to see what made him different from his other mutant goblin counterparts.Grimdank was black with dark green stripes and that probably wasn't all that was unique about him.

Mandar Schion then undid his spatial erasure barrier spell as the wave of green no longer paid attention to him.It had moved on and started attacking the royal guards and noble guards who were defending Ring City.

The royal guards and noble guards for their part took part in magic formations aimed at powerful offensive spells with which to launch at the wave of green.

The wave of green for its collective part cast defensive spells to protect itself and then retaliated by casting extremely powerful offensive spells which launched towards the magic formations and sent the humans flying. The wave of green would then head towards them killing and devouring some but teleporting others.

Mandar knew he had a job to do so he cast a spell which was one of his own creations. It allowed him to spatially replicate life along with all their physical and magical abilities.

The spatially replicated creatures would be loyal to Mandar and the only real limitation was that he couldn't spatially replicate anything more powerful then himself. He also couldn't spatially replicate equipment with this spell.

Only the equipments appearance and physical form would be copied.Mandar could use a different spell to reproduce his equipment but it was too powerful so he wouldn't be able to do it.He would at most be able to spatially replicate his equipment once.

Hence Mandar Schion spatially replicated himself 10 times. He didn't spatially replicate them with their mana as he had something special for that.He took out a disc and placed it on the ground which he then activated.A 10m3 green square barrier appeared with the disc at its centre.Mandar and the 10 spatial replicates huddled inside the green barrier.

The 11 Mandar Schions found their mana guickly regenerating 100s of times faster then normal. It would only take them a few seconds to be at their peaks.
