Chapter 48 🌀~
CASSIE'S POV 🌀🌀🌀~
(What just happened? Did I do this?) I thought to myself.
I moved around everyone, touching them slightly to see if they'd move but they were all still.
"Remarkable." I heard someone say and I jumped in fear.
"Don't worry. It's just me. Your favorite teacher." Mr Ken said to me.
"Don't come any closer." I warned him.
He took more bold steps towards where I was standing.
"I mean it." I raised one of my hands at him and he stopped in his tracks.
"Cassie, I'm just trying to help." He said to me.
"Help? By keeping me here against my own will?" I questioned him.
"Okay, maybe that was because of our own selfish interests, but right now all I want is to help you. Look what you did, Cassie. You paused them all, and I'm sure you don't know how to reverse it." He said to me.
I glanced over to Jake, his mouth was open as he was groaning in pain when it happened.
Sage looked the most cinematic. Her hair was floating now, must be because of the rush of air that was blowing her away, her mouth was also open, she must have been screaming.
"How are you going to help?" I asked Mr Ken.
"By simply guiding you with my voice." He replied and smiled.
"I'm not staying here anymore. Even after you help me unfreeze them. I won't stay here. I'm going back to the school with my friends. All of them." I said to him.
"Okay. If that is what you've decided. I can't really stop you. But you'd have to tell the elders yourself." He said to me.
"Okay." I simply said.
"Now help me unfreeze them." I continued.
"Okay. I need you to concentrate On that emotion you were feeling when you froze them." He guided.
I started to recall how I was feeling then, helpless, unseen and useless. Then it came flooding back. The streams of emotions.
"Now I need you to feel the opposite of everything you're feeling now. I need you to feel powerful, like you're in control. Like you're the most powerful being in the world. " He Instructed.
I closed my eyes for a split second and opened them again.
Then suddenly it became loud again and everyone was unfrozen.
I looked around at everyone and they seemed to notice something had happened to them as they stopped fighting.
"What just happened?" Madeline asked.
Jake turned over to look at me.
He must have known I had something to do with how they were feeling.
"You! What are you doing here?" Damon asked when he saw Mr Ken.
"He's the one that helped kidnap me." I declared.
"Mr Ken? Seriously? You? a traitor? Couldn't have believed it." Madeline said disappointedly.
Jake conjured up his fire sword again and tried to get to Mr Ken but his way was blocked by the terrible five.
That's what I'll be calling them from now on.
"Don't even think about it." The boy with blue flames said to him.
"So what now? What do you plan on doing with us? We're supposed to be your students! And you're supposed to be on our side!" Madeline said angrily.
"I'm sorry Madeline. I was never on your side to begin with. I was only an Intel at your school. We needed to know everything and know everyone special there who could pose as a threat to us when we come for war." Mr Ken said to us.
"So you were studying all of us?" Sage asked him.
"Yes I was. And you'd be surprised how much I've learnt. Especially about certain people." Mr Ken said and gave both Sage and Damon a weird look.
He must have known about Damon and his ice powers.
Does sage also have the same ice powers?
"Look. We know this war is going to hold, So just let us leave. With Cassie. We'll prepare and await you on that day." Jake said to him.
"You know Jake. You are a very special boy. I've always known you were. And you should know the difference between right and wrong. What we're fighting for here, is for a just cause. That school of yours is deceiving you. Deceiving all of you." Mr Ken continued.
"I do know the difference between right and wrong. And I know that what you're doing is wrong." Jake replied him.
"Really? Is that so? Then how come your father doesn't agree to that?" Mr Ken asked him.
Jake's eyes widened. "What do you know about my father?" He asked.
"A lot. Infact, your father thinks it's time you and him met. Again." Mr Ken said and smiled at him.
Jake conjured up a ball of fire and threw it at Mr Ken but one of the terrible five, the one with air magic diverted the fire to the wall.
"You don't have to be hostile Jake. I'm only speaking the truth. If you follow me, I'll take you to him. Your father. Right this instant." Mr Ken said to him.
I remembered that my powers were back and decided to put it to use.
I seeped into Mr Ken's mind to check if he was telling the truth.
(He's telling the truth about Jake's father.)
How can this be?
"Fine. Take me to him. But if you're lying to me, I will....."
"Right this way, shall we?" Mr Ken cut Jake off mid sentence.
Jake nodded and followed him.
We all wanted to follow him but the terrible five blocked our way.
"Just the fifth element please." The blue flamed boy said.
I looked over to Damon, Sage and Madeline and nodded at them.
"I'll be back. Don't worry, I have my powers back, if they try anything, I'll take them all out." I said to them and they nodded.
"Atta girl." Damon commented and smirked.
I followed Jake closely behind.

"Wait, isn't this the elders chambers or something?" I asked Mr Ken when we got to a familiar gigantic door.
"It is. Come on in." He said to Jake and I.
We made our way to the very end of the chamber and got to the round table.
Someone was sitting in one of the chairs.
"Sir. Your son. He's here and ready to meet you." Mr Ken said to whoever that was sitting there.
The Man stood up. He was wearing a long cloak. He uncovered his hood And I immediately recognized his head figure.
Oh. My. God.
The cloaked man turned to us.
"Hello son." He said to Jake.
Jake let out a sharp breath.
"Father?" He asked unbelievably with a choked voice.
Jake's father was Xavier. The same Xavier that was head leading the war that is to happen soon.
The same Xavier that claimed to be friends with my departed father who led the crusade before he took over.
He's Jakes' and Caras' Father.
I can't believe this.
What does this mean for Jake and his sister.
