I kicked the door shut behind us and set down Mia on the tub. She yelped as her butt hit the cold porcelain. As she rubbed the sore spot, I turned on the water. The showerhead sputtered to life, spraying a cold stream that made her gasp. I adjusted the knob until the water warmed to a comfortable temperature, steam filling the room and fogging the mirror. The water cascaded over me, washing away the sweat and the remnants of our lovemaking. It felt cleansing, like a new beginning. Artemia's body was slick and glistening beneath the water, her curves accentuated by the droplets that clung to her skin. I couldn't resist reaching out and tracing a finger along her spine, eliciting a content sigh from her. She leaned into my touch, her eyes closing in pleasure. The intimacy of the moment, the vulnerability of being together like this, was overwhelming. I pulled her close, wrapping her in a warm embrace.
