The summoning web flared brighter than before, casting long flickering shadows across the chamber in pulses of violet Mana.
The glyphs along its outer edge glowed with a feverish intensity, lines of power weaving and twisting like serpents made of violet light.
From behind the web, the two cloaked casters who had remained still for most of the battle after the three swordman advance, now moved with urgency. Their rotten Supernatural hands trembled with exertion while pouring more and more of their Mana into the core of the summoning web.
They had received a message that had been passed through spiritual resonance that only meant for them to hear. Whatever had been communicated from the frontlines, from the Supernatural swordsmen now engaged with Rama and the others, it changed something.
And then... all five Supernaturals changed.
It was not just a rise in intensity, it was a shift in intent as well. As if they had entered a deeper focus and more readiness to kill.
