Anna Ainsworth returned home, but Chris hadn't come back yet. She was somewhat worried and hastily made another call to Chris. This time, the phone was picked up after just two rings.
Over the phone came Chris's voice, "Sis, I'm on my way back, I'll be home in ten minutes. They're driving me back and said they want to talk to you about me."
They wanted to talk to her about Chris? Anna was genuinely startled, her mind immediately jumping to the thought that Chris had gotten into trouble, into some conflict, and now it was the police bringing him home.
The police getting in touch with her surely meant they wanted her to properly discipline her younger brother, followed by some sort of compensation to the other party.
Thinking this far, Anna was horrified. Chris had always been a good kid, and he'd been in Bay City for only a few months. How could he suddenly get into trouble again?
