"I had no idea Chris fell and hit his head, I didn't receive the letter you sent," Jeanette Warren defended almost instinctively.
"You didn't receive my letter, fine, but you already had a BB Pager then, and I used the town center hospital's phone to call your BB Pager, yet you didn't even return the call."
"I... I didn't know it was you who called, I thought it was a wrong number," Jeanette Warren muttered in explanation.
"A wrong number?" Anna Ainsworth scoffed coldly. "I've never used a BB Pager, but that doesn't mean I don't know its functions. It can receive messages, and it shows the message information. I left you a message saying Chris fell and hit his head and needed money for surgery, asking you to come back quickly, and if you couldn't come, to at least send money back quickly."
