Nia Mitchell avoided someone's gaze, sheepishly lowering her head.
"Have you remembered?"
Maxwell Peary's hoarse voice rang in her ear, and his warm breath tickled her neck.
"So... should I sit up then? Huh? And why are you on top of me?"
Nia Mitchell suddenly realized what was wrong. Maxwell Peary was on top of her, which was why, when she sat up, she had pushed him off the bed.
But why would he be on top of me while I was sleeping peacefully?
Maxwell Peary's expression didn't change as he replied very seriously, "Because you seduced me."
Nia Mitchell was taken aback. Seduce you? My foot! What the hell kind of seduction are you talking about?!
"I was asleep, not drunk. Why on earth would I seduce you?"
Nia Mitchell had to defend her innocence; Maxwell Peary was clearly talking nonsense.
Maxwell Peary chuckled, then climbed under the covers and sat next to Nia.
"Would you seduce me if you were drunk?"
