Today was Jay's birthday. I went to bed yesterday praying that it wouldn't get too awkward.
We all drove to Jay's house. With all, I mean all. I drove from my house to the Dunphys where Cam and Mitchell were already waiting.
We soon all drove towards Jay.
We walked in front of the driveway where Gloria secretly opened the gate. After it was open we all went into hiding and waited for Jay to come downstairs. Luckily the bedroom where Jay was is facing the pool.
Jay came down and everyone surprised him.
"Suprise", Gloria was the first one to scream.
"Suprise", that was the rest.
"What are you guys doing here? Are you saying goodbye? No need. I and Gloria will come back soon enough", Jay said thinking we were all saying goodbye.
"No, they are all coming with us", Gloria said excitedly.
"Oh", Jay tried to act happy.
"I already planned every day out full of activities", Gloria added. Not ideal for Jay who was having it harder and harder to act happy.
Soon after we went into a private limousine I arranged.
Jay was in a much better mood after Gloria told him about the additional week where there would only be the two of them alone.
Before stepping into the car I talked to Jay quickly.
"Sorry Jay. I originally wanted to let you both have a nice time together, but Gloria added the whole family. I was only able to achieve another week in the hotel with only you two. She originally wanted to use the first weekend for land activities and the second for sea activities. As for my participation. Gloria wouldn't let go. I was feeling guilty due to this I decided to cover all the flight expenses. I got a real bargain recently"
"No need for feeling sorry. I know Gloria's stubbornness best. Thanks for the flight money. That wasn't needed. You would still be welcome to come to Hawaii if you would have liked.", Jay said not minding me coming with him. Especially hearing me paying for it. He was relieved and he knew the flight money was nothing to me.
After we all stepped into the limousine it began driving.
"Oh, no. We need to turn back really quickly. I forgot my ID", Mitchell suddenly said anxiously and embarrassed.
"No need for that. I have already arranged everything", I told him right away. I didn't want him to get more anxious.
"Really? Wow, we still needed to show our IDs when we flew to Vietnam. We couldn't show our IDs on the internet. Flight booking is getting really advanced now", Cam said from the side.
We quickly drove towards the airport.
"That isn't the way to the terminals?! Where are we driving?", Phil asked curiously.
"To an FBO", I told him with a smile.
"What's that?", Phil asked having never heard this term.
"It is a terminal exclusive for private airplanes", Alex said with her mouth wide open.
"Wow you have your own airplane", Jay, Phil, Luke, and Manny all said excitedly.
"Yes I have one", I said with a smile.
I got asked many questions, but it quickly calmed down as everyone thought it would probably be a small machine. They knew I was rich due to the Enzo they saw once. It wasn't that surprising to see me own a small plane then.
After we arrived at the terminal we quickly went into the observatory which was linked to the entrance to the place where all the planes were getting refueled.
We looked at all the planes and I explained some to Luke and Manny as well as Jay and Phil who all seemed to like airplanes.
"Wow what kind of plane is that? That one is huge. And what is that strange symbol on it", Luke asked seeing my plane.
"That's an Airbus A320 Neo", I told him with a proud smile.
"You would look really good in a captain's uniform in that plane", Haley said with a dreamy smile.
"Look at the crown above that symbol. It symbolizes royalty or given by royalty. Through the whole symbol, you can analyze it as the crest of a very important noble Spanish family. It is way out of your league Haley.", Alex said mocking her sister's knowledge as always.
I just laughed and chose not to talk back.
