Chapter 438 - Wynn Fimbulvetr and Love Breathing's Compatibility

Riezel had learned five magic spells from Riveria Ljos Alf, Orario's strongest mage known as Nine Hell, which included three defensive spells and two offensive ones.

For the three defensive magic spells, they were:

Liv Ilusio, a support defensive magic that enhanced both physical and magical resistance, protected the target of the magic, and could even heal minor injuries.

Veil Breath, a defensive magic that shielded the target of the magic from all enemy attacks.

Via Shilheim, a defensive magic that created a barrier that completely blocked physical and magical attacks.

When Riezel learned magic from Riveria, these three defensive magic spells were the ones she taught him first. Maybe she wanted to tell him that, before attacking the enemy, protecting himself and his allies was the most important thing.

Only after that did Riezel learn two offensive magic spells from Riveria.

One of them was the fire-attribute wide-area annihilation magic, Rea Laevateinn, which he had used back at the Frenzel residence in the royal capital, Yeluvia, leading to his recognition as a Tactical-Class Magician.

As for the other, it was the magic he was using right now, called Wynn Fimbulvetr, an ice-attribute area-based offensive magic that created three blasts of an extremely cold blizzard, freezing everything within range.

As Riezel cast Wynn Fimbulvetr, an ice-blue magic circle expanded beneath his feet before a frigid wind swept across the battlefield, forming a blizzard.

*Kacha!* *Kacha!* *Kacha!*

In that instant, the sound of ice slowly creeping across the ground filled the air as the cold wind spread, and eventually, the bone-chilling noise echoed through the cave chamber, the city, and the battlefield, sweeping over everything and turning the entire area into a frozen wasteland.

"Fall back!"

"Get back, now!"

"Don't stay here!"

Kaiser, Axel, and Diego, the first to spot the incoming blizzard, had their faces turned pale as they shouted desperately, urging the knights to retreat.

"Is it his doing?!"

"Isn't this Tactical-Class Magic?!"

Raven and Nibald, who hadn't expected Riezel to unleash such high-class magic here, were just as shocked and immediately moved away in a panic.

*ROOOAAAAAARRR—!!!*

Meanwhile, the Autonomous Guardian that had been chasing Lizbeth had no time to react before the blizzard engulfed it.

Even though it was much stronger than the Autonomous Guardian Riezel and Raven had faced before, with its STR and END alone exceeding Riezel's predictions, likely beyond Level 7, this one also had the same weakness—its DEX and AGI were far lower than its STR and END.

At best, this Autonomous Guardian's DEX and AGI were around Level 6, possibly even lower, and might not even match some Level 5 individuals who specialized in those basic abilities.

Because of this, the Autonomous Guardian had no way to dodge the massive blizzard as the ice and snow completely engulfed it, trapping it in the storm.

*Kacha!* *Kacha!* *Kacha!*

As the sound of ice forming rang out, the Autonomous Guardian's massive body began freezing. It struggled violently, but little by little, the ice overtook it, spreading layers of it across its body.

Before long, the ten-meter-tall giant was entirely frozen, transformed into an unmoving ice mountain, sitting silently in the snow, never to move again.

"Lizbeth!"

As the one responsible for all this, Riezel didn't feel even a hint of victory but acted as if he had done something insignificant and called out to Lizbeth.

"Yes!"

Lizbeth, instantly understanding Riezel's intention, didn't need him to explain or confirm his thoughts through their attendant contract, so she immediately shot toward the entrance of the ancient city, rushing ahead.

*ROOOAAAAAARRR—!!!*

As if right on cue, a roar rang out before two new Autonomous Guardians emerged from the street inside the city entrance—they were the very same ones that had been wandering through the city.

Just as Riezel had said earlier, after sensing the commotion at the city entrance, the Autonomous Guardians inside the city had charged recklessly in their direction.

Lizbeth met them head-on, swinging Moslow, which transformed into a sword-whip, unleashing swift and fierce slashes toward the two Autonomous Guardians.

"What are you guys just standing there for?!"

At the same time, Riezel called out to Raven and Nibald, who looked a little dazed, standing in place foolishly.

"Hurry up and take down the last one!"

At this moment, the other Autonomous Guardian that guarded the city entrance had already broken free from the frozen ground and was charging toward the knights. Its body was covered in layers of ice as if it had barely escaped being caught in Wynn Fimbulvetr and turning into another ice mountain.

Raven and Nibald, upon hearing Riezel's words, snapped out of it, quickly pushing aside their shock and confusion before launching an attack on the Autonomous Guardian.

Nibald raised his staff high and began chanting Combat-Class Magic, causing a surge of magical energy on par with a Strategic-Class Magician.

As a magician with fourth-grade compatibility in both the Control System and the Interference System, Nibald's expertise naturally lay in using magic from those two systems. For this reason, he first cast an Interference System Magic to weaken the Autonomous Guardian, slowing the already sluggish giant even further, before following up with a Control System Magic.

Nibald usually specialized in manipulating the earth with Control System Magic, but because he was currently inside the body of the Underground Demon Beast Yarakulon, the ground that appeared to be solid earth was actually its flesh, so his usual Control System Magic was practically useless.

As a result, Nibald chose to use Control System Magic to summon creatures and control them, summoning two monsters before him.

*ROAR!*

*ROAR!*

As Nibald's two summoned monsters appeared, they immediately followed his command, letting out fierce roars at the massive Autonomous Guardian and flying fearlessly toward it.

Surprisingly, the monsters Nibald summoned weren't just any creatures but two wyverns that stood about three meters tall with large wings.

As lesser dragons, although they weren't true dragons, these wyverns were still quite powerful. At the very least, they were on par with Level 6 monsters, so with both of them attacking at once, even an Autonomous Guardian couldn't afford to ignore them.

Facing the two wyverns, the Autonomous Guardian swung its stone spear, trying to swat them away, but Nibald continuously applied the magic of the Interference System, which had a debuff effect, making it easy for the two wyverns to dodge its slow attacks.

In the next moment, the two wyverns bared their fangs and lunged at the Autonomous Guardian, biting into it ferociously.

*Pu-chi!* *Pu-chi!*

With the sound of two sharp tears, the two wyverns bit into the Autonomous Guardian's shoulder and back, making it roar in anger.

At that exact moment, Raven charged forward, gripping Rebellion in his hands.

Compared to Riezel and Nibald, Raven's combat style was undoubtedly much simpler and more straightforward. Taking advantage of Nibald holding the Autonomous Guardian back, he swung his incredibly sharp greatsword, hacking away at its body and leaving deep, jagged wounds.

Nibald, not about to be outdone, controlled the two wyverns to attack the Autonomous Guardian while pulling out a magic crystal from his waist and unleashing its power.

In the next second, a beam of light formed beside Nibald and shot toward the Autonomous Guardian, blasting it.

Because Nibald could only use Combat-Class Magic and specialized only in the Control System and the Interference System, both of which lacked attack power, he had a clear weakness in terms of offensive capabilities. Consequently, to make up for this, most of the magic items he carried were ones that could deal heavy damage to enemies.

Now, Nibald used one of those magic items and unleashed light-attribute offensive Magic, causing beams of light to explode continuously on the Autonomous Guardian's body.

A Sword Saint and a magician who could rival a Sword Saint working together—just like this, they were completely suppressing the Autonomous Guardian, and it was only a matter of time before they won.

Seeing this, Riezel stopped paying attention to the two of them and cast 'Fly' to head toward the city entrance.

Over there, Lizbeth was engaged in an intense battle with two Autonomous Guardians who had come from inside the city.

Normally, with Lizbeth's strength, even if she used her trump card, the War King Sword Style, she would probably struggle against a single Autonomous Guardian, let alone two. However, because Riezel had stacked who knows how many layers of support Magic on her, pushing her strength to the extreme, she was now fighting two Autonomous Guardians evenly, not at a disadvantage at all.

Moreover, adding Love Breathing was honestly a surprising bonus.

As Riezel watched Lizbeth use Love Breathing in battle for the first time, he quickly came to a conclusion.

'Lizbeth's compatibility with Love Breathing... Honestly, she's probably just as good as Kanroji.'

Because of Lizbeth's extremely high compatibility with Love Breathing, she had not only mastered this breathing style in just a few days but had also brought out its full power.

If Lizbeth, without the War King Sword Style, was just a beginner Sword Master at Level 5, barely reaching the lowest of that level, then after using Love Breathing, she absolutely had the strength of an upper Level 5.

As a result, when combined with the countless support magic stacked on her, the Lizbeth fighting now was displaying full-fledged Level 6 combat power, making dealing with two Autonomous Guardians whose DEX and AGI were only at Level 5 no problem at all.

Nevertheless, Lizbeth's performance was honestly beyond Riezel's expectations, leaving him both impressed and puzzled.

'Didn't this girl say she's never been in love? Then why the hell is her compatibility with Love Breathing so damn high? Was she lying, or... could it be that she has someone she loves now...?'

Riezel, unconsciously clenching his hands into fists, suddenly got the feeling that his precious daughter was about to be stolen by some scumbag.
