Chapter 392 - Manor

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Electricity flowed through her body.

The black-haired beauty lying inside the fully-enclosed mechanical cabin opened her eyes.

She opened the cabin door and silently walked in front of the monitor, looking at the constant stream of data on the screen.

A while later.

She nodded and muttered: "Sure enough, I can't read it"

Then according to Liu Ping, I should press the green button at this point.

The black-haired beauty reached her hand out and pressed the button.

An electronic voice came:

[The unknown technique has left]

[Current environment: Safe]

The black-haired beauty nodded and turned around to see that Liu Ping had woken up and was standing behind her, staring at the stream of data on the screen.

"Relax, that technique has left" the black-haired beauty said.

Liu Ping sighed: "All plants and animals have gone extinct, only humans remain in this world"

"So what?" the black-haired beauty asked without changing her expression.

"This will waste a lot of my savings, this is all money, earned through the Book of the Sea"

Saying so, Liu Ping quickly typed out a series of commands on the keyboard.

A few moments later.

A mechanical voice came:

[The DNA of various life forms has begun to be transcribed]

[Begin to scatter plant seeds on the ground]

[Begin to rear various animals and choose the right time to release them into nature]

Liu Ping clapped his hands: "The Psychic Ghosts are gone, from now on, the ground of this world will once again belong to living beings"

"If that's the case, then all the dangers have passed," the black-haired beauty said.

Liu Ping once again typed out a series of commands on the keyboard and replied: "I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that things aren't that simple."

As soon as he said that.

He suddenly felt a bit stunned.

Everything around him disappeared, even the black-haired beauty disappeared from his sight at a speed that seemed slow but was actually very fast.

What's going on?

Liu Ping raised his hand, only to find that a series of black runes had appeared on his hand and were continuously rotating.

The black-haired beauty's expression changed and quickly said:

"Be careful, someone in the Occultism world is looking for you!"

"Looking for me?"

As soon as Liu Ping said so, the world disappeared.

In the dark sky, thunder and lightning continuously resounded as rain poured down.

Liu Ping found himself standing in front of a manor with two metal doors slowly opening.

A person stood in the shadows behind the door and spoke.

"Obituarist, I heard that you've been doing well recently. Come in."

Liu Ping looked at that person.

He saw that the person was completely hidden in the darkness. He could only vaguely see that his wet clothes were constantly dripping with water. Sharp tentacles would occasionally emerge from the darkness and quickly retract.

Two lines of words floated above that person's head:

[Occultism Profession: Gatekeeper]

 [???]

More lines of burning words quickly appeared:

[Current timeline: Unable to measure]

[Current coordinates: Unable to detect]

[Spacetime Anchor: Causality]

[You were affected by the following Causality Law, thus appearing here:]

[If any Occultist is able to discover a brand new, complete divine pillar with a specific indication, as well as avoid the destruction of all initial nightmares, they will be immediately transported to this location once]

[Please note that your current identity is the obituary informant]

Liu Ping quickly finished reading and instantly felt a little more confident.

Since he had taken over the identity of the obituary informant, he had also inherited his karma.

It seems that he had been treated as the obituary informant and successfully survived that attack.

That's why he appeared here.

What kind of terrifying screening was this?!

Regardless of whether you're willing or not, as long as you fulfill the prerequisites, you will immediately appear here.

However.

I've received many of the obituary informant's memories.

The only thing I don't have is any memories related to the manor!

Why is that?

Liu Ping's mind turned quickly as he glanced at the gatekeeper again.

The gatekeeper's voice faintly sounded from the darkness:

"Go, it's your honor."

Liu Ping suddenly felt that he couldn't control his body anymore.

It was as if there was a strong force attracting him, even influencing his thoughts, causing his entire body to be under his control.

In the rain, he couldn't help but walk towards the manor.

This feeling was like …

His body had become someone else's.

He walked along the muddy path and stood still at the entrance of the brightly lit manor.

At this moment, a few people were kneeling at the bottom of the stairs at the entrance.

Two of the men in armor had their heads lowered and didn't move at all.

Another corpse in a gorgeous robe was kneeling in the muddy water. His head was no longer there, but his hands were still raised high as if he was begging and narrating.

Two extremely short words appeared above their heads:

[Corpse.]

The only one who was still alive was a woman who was also standing in the rain.

She was wearing a black cloak that covered her body and face, only revealing a pair of eyes that were emitting starlight.

Seeing Liu Ping approach, the woman said softly, "The obituary informant."

"That's me." Liu Ping said and shut his mouth.

He didn't know anything. It was best to keep his mouth shut and not say anything more.

The woman saw that he had no intention of speaking, but she still said, "I still remember the first time we met, I treated you to a drink. I didn't expect so much time to have passed."

"Yes." Liu Ping agreed.

"If you need any help, remember to look for me." The woman said again.

"Okay." Liu Ping followed his words and glanced at him.

A line of words appeared above the man's head:

[A title that has been obscured]

[She only concealed everything in front of you, so you don't know who she is for now]

Liu Ping thought for a while and suddenly felt that the woman's words and actions had a deeper meaning.

At this time, a white-haired old man poked his head out from the manor's gate.

"Silence." The old man said.

The two of them shut their mouths.

"Wait here. Master is holding a banquet. But since you're here, I'll ask Master how to deal with your matter." The old man said.

He closed the door again.

The two of them looked at the manor's gate.

The rain was falling. Melodious music could be heard from the gate. They could even hear many people whispering and laughing.

Suddenly, the old man's voice sounded.

"Master, they're here."

A voice full of laughter followed: "That woman deserves to die."

"Yes." The old man said.

Liu Ping suddenly felt some liquid splashing on his face.

He turned his head and saw that the woman's head had been chopped off. Her body slowly fell to the ground.

She had died without a sound.

Liu Ping was stunned.

The result of being teleported here was to be killed on the spot?

At this point, the old man's voice sounded again: "She wields quite a bit of Occultism, some of which even this subordinate doesn't know about. Master, perhaps she has a chance to revive."

"Hehehe, that's where the fun lies. Once she revives, I want her to come here and see her own corpse, then kill her again," the voice declared.

"Then, where's the Obituary Informer?" the old man asked.

The voice cleared his throat and loudly asked: "The Obituary Informer?"

"I'm here," Liu Ping replied.

"You've done well, to be able to avoid that initial nightmare attack, you're worthy of my respect. I'll return your other hand to you" the voice said.

The dirt in front of Liu Ping began to move.

A bloody hand was pulled out of the soil, and it gradually became cleaner under the washing of the rain.

A few lines of text appeared on the heroic spirit's UI:

[Hand of Obituary]

[This hand has gathered a large amount of Occultism, capable of unleashing the power of 'Obituary']

[Attention:]

[This hand contains another Causality Law, capable of controlling your entire body at any time]

Liu Ping glanced over and appeared delighted, then hurriedly picked up the severed hand and hugged it tightly.

From inside the gate, the voice lazily spoke: "Go, continue to plunder everything for me. Once you've offered everything on that Divine Pillar to me, I'll consider returning your head to you"

Liu Ping nodded again and again, staring at the severed hand without blinking. He was so excited that his body trembled, muttering: "That's great … that's great …"

I don't even know how to address the other party.

Sir?

Sir?

Or something else?

If I say the wrong thing, I'll expose myself.

It's better to just keep this reaction.

"Hmph, you're really a dog that hasn't seen the world. But I appreciate your thirst for power. Alright, go back!"

The voice said.

As soon as it said that.

A flash of light appeared all around.

The underground city.

The city's central operation hall.

Liu Ping appeared in the hall. Everything around him was exactly the same as when he left, nothing had changed.

"Who was it? Who took you away? "the black-haired beauty asked.

It was only now that Liu Ping felt that he had regained control over his body.

He recalled everything that happened just now in his mind, then spoke: "Shui Shu, you're from the Occultism world, have you heard of a manor?"

"Manor? What manor? "the black-haired beauty suddenly raised her voice.

"It's a manor with a gatekeeper. There are many corpses kneeling inside, as well as an insane master" Liu Ping explained.

The black-haired beauty's face displayed a deep sense of fear as she spoke in a daze:

"No …"
