Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Death Exam, Evil Way to Skip Class!

Trap!

They're all traps!

She wasn't wearing anything, yet the question asked about the color of her panties. This was clearly a conspiracy.

Amamiya Natsuki stared seriously at the vengeful invigilator before him. His eyes fell on the perky figure wrapped in a tight hip skirt, and he silently scolded her.

What was even more outrageous was that this female teacher actually went commando under her skirt at school. Isn't that a bit too much? Have you ever considered the social downfall if someone found out?

…Well, as a vengeful ghost, social death was probably the least of her worries.

That was no problem.

"Poke, poke—"

Fujiwara Chika, with wide eyes, poked Natsuki's side and wrote on the desk with her fingers: "Amamiya-san, don't keep staring at the teacher's body. It's rude."

Why bother being polite to evil spirits? If their fighting power weren't suppressed, the unlucky players here would have teamed up to rip off the invigilator's skirt by now.

"Don't slander innocence," Amamiya Natsuki said expressionlessly. "I'm just trying to figure out the answer."

"Eh…" Fujiwara blinked, then covered her chest with her arms. "Does Amamiya have the ability to see through clothes?"

Don't cover it up! If you really could, all your moles would be visible!

"Kaguya-chan, cover yourself quickly!"

Shinomiya didn't need that at all. She was perfectly fine without clothes. Set in stone, the Kanto Plains don't need to cover up.

Natsuki secretly whispered the correct answer to Fujiwara as his eyes caught a new question on the blood-stained paper.

[How did Hayato Aoki, who was in this examination room with you, die?]

Very good. Another hellish question.

Not even Kaguya Shinomiya, who ranked first in every exam from elementary through high school, could answer this.

Natsuki vaguely understood the Death Exam's rules.

Quietly doing the test was a dead end. Something had to be done.

Everyone tried desperately to peek under the invigilator's skirt, or to find out which ghost was Hayato Aoki, secretly watching and analyzing how he died—in short, everyone tried to cheat.

If caught, the punishment was death.

But Amamiya Natsuki discovered a special trick to skip class.

As invigilator, surely she would know how her students died, right?

A moment later, the invigilator passed by Natsuki again.

"Teacher, your money fell again."

Under watchful eyes, Natsuki calmly pointed at a coin on his desk.

Whether human or ghost, some things you want to repeat once you've experienced them.

This time, the invigilator didn't hesitate. She silently picked up the coin and pointed to the correct answer with her finger.

Correct.

Amamiya Natsuki was quite satisfied.

Invigilator, eternal god!

The human players in the classroom naturally witnessed this, each with their own thoughts.

"What's that big guy doing?"

"I smell a dirty deal."

"As expected of a big boss—found the hidden rules?"

Click.

Suddenly, a note landed on Amamiya Natsuki's desk.

"Um?"

He glanced at a boy sitting behind him on the right.

This was an unlucky player. Seeing Natsuki look at him, he quickly clasped his hands, pleading silently.

Natsuki thought for two seconds and opened the note.

"Boss, take me with you!"

Sorry, I'm no big shot—just a regular player who just passed novice level.

I always feel weird giving others the correct answers I worked so hard to get so easily.

But as human players, we can't just watch others die without trying to protect each other. Our conscience won't allow it...

Click.

Another note was tossed over, followed by a black... cat ear hair accessory?

"Boss, I know the rules. This is my last prop!"

Natsuki hesitated, then touched the cat ear hair accessory.

Suddenly, the game panel popped up.

[Props: Cat ear hair accessories]

[Origin: Blind Box Lottery]

[Special effect: After wearing, you are no longer a mortal. In the eyes of evil spirits, you become a cat.]

[Reminder: Compatibility requirement: current 40%. Higher compatibility means less likely to be seen through.]

[Note: Turn into a cat girl for me!]

"It's a blind box prop," Natsuki muttered.

After fiddling with it, he guessed the rules.

There's no free lunch in this world.

To curry favor, you must either show your value or sincerity.

The cat ears clearly represent the latter.

The transaction? Trading a mostly useless item for test answers.

Natsuki thought for two seconds and nodded.

Even if he wasn't given props, he'd help in the end.

This isn't a death match. Ignoring human cries for help and watching others die? Impossible.

The human player's face lit up with joy.

"Thank you, big boss!"

Using a useless prop for help is a huge profit!

Besides humans, the real bosses in this room were the vengeful ghost students.

A resentful spirit behind Natsuki tried to copy answers, but more brutally: he stretched out his bloody hand and grabbed Natsuki.

Hey, that's too much!

Others plagiarize, but you're stealing outright!

A chilling aura swept Natsuki, and he felt himself freezing.

He took a deep breath and shouted decisively:

"Teacher, someone stole my test paper!"

The patrolling invigilator turned sharply.

The boy's body stiffened; his voice became hoarse.

"They're all plagiarizing…"

Before he finished, the bloodstained triangle ruler swung down.

Silence fell.

You bribed the invigilator, but wanted to control her without paying? Punishment deserved.

Moments later.

"The exam is over."

The invigilator's hoarse voice echoed.

"Students who passed may leave. Those who failed, remain for the makeup exam."

Under the cold gaze of vengeful students, Amamiya Natsuki and his friends stood and left.

"It's over."

Fujiwara Chika patted her chest.

"I thought Kaguya-chan would ace it easily, but those questions weren't meant for people."

A school for vengeful spirits—of course humans can't pass!

"Amamiya-san, is that cat-ear accessory special?"

Fujiwara asked curiously.

"Take a look."

Natsuki handed it over.

Fujiwara examined it, eyes sparkling.

"It's a blind box prop! Compatibility rate 70%. What's yours?"

"Forty percent," Natsuki replied.

"So low."

Fujiwara handed it to Kaguya.

"Kaguya-chan, check the compatibility."

Shinomiya's face remained calm and composed, no fear.

After two seconds, she said:

"Ninety-five percent."

"So high!"

"What a boring item."

Kaguya returned the cat ears.

"We meet the minimum clearance. Let's go back…"

Before she finished, a cold, hoarse school broadcast voice rang out:

[Notice: Players "The Evil of This World, Cancer of the Earth, and the Weak and Helpless Kaguya-hime" have been jointly reported by multiple students and are now wanted.]
