HEY READERS! HOW ARE YOU DOING?

I'M DEDICATING THIS CHAPTER TO MY NUMBER ONE FAN—RYAN. THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS SUPPORTING ME 💖

I stood by, watching how Yin Yin felt that morning. She was still struggling to believe that Jinye would sleep with that woman.

And yes—I've been trying to tell her he was trying his best to resist. But of course, she couldn't hear me.

She sniffled, gently tucked him in, then quietly left the room and went to sleep in the guest bedroom.

---

The next day, I did my usual routine—roaming the house, looking for fresh gossip to serve hot. But nothing. Nada. So I strolled back to the Dong mansion, only to find Yin already awake.

She stood in front of Jinye's door, hand raised as if about to knock… then paused. Changed her mind. Sighed. And walked back to her room.

I followed her, of course.

She sat on the edge of her bed and stared into space. Then she whispered, "How could he do this to me? He said he was falling in love with me… but he went out and messed around like that?"

She fell face-down into her pillow, her voice trembling with unshed tears.

Yin… it's not what you think. Don't let last night fool you. I swear, he wasn't with her like that.

But as usual—she couldn't hear me.

I got frustrated. Like genuinely pissed. So I marched off to get Jinye to explain himself, to apologize. But he was still asleep.

I swear—man was dead drunk.

Then I heard it.

"Yin…" he mumbled in his sleep.

Damn. He was dreaming about her. Fantasizing. Probably even calling out to her in that sexy, drunk-whiny voice.

She needed to see this.

So I dashed back to her room like lightning, practically screaming at her ghost-ears to get up and go to him. And just like that—she moved.

She stood up. Took a deep breath. She was going to confront him.

Finally! This cold war had to end.

She went to his room. Knocked softly.

But then she froze. Something she heard from inside stopped her in her tracks. Her body tensed. Her cheeks flushed.

I could feel it too.

Her body wanted him. Her heart didn't trust him. It was a mess.

"Yes, Yin… go in," I whispered. "You're his wife. Go remind him of that."

And just like that—she opened the door.

What I saw?

I turned away in shock. But curiosity got the best of me, and yeah… I peeked.

Jinye was fully awake. Sitting there. Using her panties to get himself off. Like—seriously?!

Sibal.

And just as she stepped in… boom. He came. Right there. Like a damn movie scene.

She stood frozen. I was frozen. We were both struck dumb.

He calmly wiped himself with a tissue, then looked up like nothing happened and said—

"Good morning, wifey."

Excuse me, sir?

Yin lowered her gaze, her cheeks crimson. "I… I think I'll come back later," she stammered.

She turned to leave.

I ran to the door like a true invisible bestie, ready to block her.

But Jinye reached out gently, took her hand, and pulled her back into his arms.

That look he gave her—dark, intense, hungry—made even me want to shrink.

"Why didn't you sleep with me last night?" he asked, breath hot against her ear.

Even I shivered.

She tilted her head away, a little breathless. "Where did you go last night?"

He chuckled low. "Are you jealous?"

"Who were you with?" she shot back.

"Did she bring me home?" he asked, still dodging.

"And what about the lipstick on your shirt? On your neck?"

"Is that why my wife left me in the middle of the night?" he murmured, trailing his lips down her throat.

"I'll answer everything," he said. "I went to my regular club, planning to sleep there. I was scared that if I stayed here, I might do something rash with you. The call I got was from Xou Gu. I asked her to meet me there to talk about something… but she took advantage of me. She's the one who brought me home."

Yin stared into his eyes. "Don't lie to me, Jinye. If we're husband and wife, we need to be honest. I hate it when people lie to 'protect' me."

He picked her up bridal-style and carried her to the bed.

"I'm not lying, baby. I swear to you," he said.

I could tell—he meant every word.

She finally smiled, eyes soft. "Fine. I believe you… Jin-er."

And then—his turn.

"Now it's your turn to answer me," he said.

"Do I have to?" she teased.

His fingers slid down her stomach, teasing lower… and just when she started to melt, he stopped.

"Please…" she begged.

He smirked. "Not until you tell me."

I swear I should've looked away. But like… I didn't.

"I didn't sleep with you last night because I thought you already had your fun," she confessed. "And yes… I was jealous. And yes… she brought you home."

"You don't have to be jealous," he said gently. "You're my wife. You have all the rights to me."

She smiled sweetly. "Husband…"

He hummed in response.

She motioned for him to come closer… and when he did, she kissed him. Slow. Deep. Passionate.

Okay, that was my cue to dip. Bye! I ran off—and landed at Jinye's office.

---

Yanji was there, looking exhausted.

Jinye had just texted him that he wouldn't be coming in. Guess he was too busy pleasing his jealous little wife.

"That cousin of mine… he finally found someone who can balance jealousy with reason," Yanji sighed. "But today, I need her to lose her mind and send him back here. We've got way too much work."

KNOCK KNOCK.

Ugh. Xou Gu again.

She walked in, swinging her hips like she owned the place.

"Where's Jinye?" she asked, all fake-sweet.

I wanted to slap her.

"He's not coming," Yanji said coldly.

Yes! He hates her too!

"Oh, I see," she giggled and walked out.

"Bitch," Yanji muttered under his breath.

He rested his head on the desk. But instead of thinking about work—his thoughts drifted.

To her.

Nan Nan.

Her lips. Her laugh. Her eyes. Her voice. The way she turned her back on him. The way she looked at him that one time.

Every little thing about her.

"Why the hell am I thinking about her?" he muttered, covering his eyes with his hand.

Poor guy. Falling for someone he doesn't even understand yet.

I was curious again, so I trailed after Xou Gu. She giggled to herself as she got into her car.

Zoom—she was gone.

But I've got my eyes on her. Don't worry.

I went back to the Dong Mansion. There's no way this drama is over yet.
