The moment they vanished from the ruined gala, Drai, Auri, and Natalia instantly reappeared elsewhere.
Drai removed his arms from the girls and started looking around, inspecting the unfamiliar room they had somehow been transported to. Meanwhile, Auri and Natalia were still quivering in their embraces, seemingly unaware that they were no longer surrounded by members of the Monos Faction.
"These smooth, sterile-looking plastic walls and floors… Are we in some lab?" Drai questioned.
His thoughts were voiced in a whisper, but it was loud enough for the girls to hear. As a result, Auri and Natalia slowly lifted their heads, and immediately, their guarded looks transformed into perplexity.
"What happened?! Where is everybody?!" Natalia blurted as she let go of her friends.
On the other hand, the unfamiliar surroundings only made Auri cling tighter to Drai.
