Kaatru's P.O.V,
What is happening?
Why can't I move?
I want to kill, destroy, and torment everyone, everything!
Why can't I?!
What is this puny creature?!
Why is his presence messing with my mind?!
"Aaaaaaaa!!"
Get away, you weak bird! Today I shall erase you from existence!
This is really getting out of hand. I have killed everything from the moment I was born. My power is limitless. Whether it is the mighty mountain or great warriors—countless have fallen or begged for mercy. And yet, I killed all of them, without mercy or remorse. After all, it was just a game to me. The more they cried, the greater the pleasure I felt.
Then why?
Why?!
WHY?!!!
Why are my hands shaking so much? Why are the memories of my so-called pleasant acts haunting me? The cries, which were once so wonderful to me... are making my heart cold?
Gulp!
Why is it that I, the mighty Kaatru, feel so restless?!
The source of this lies in that bird. I shall kill it.
"You should DIE!!!"
*****************
Prakriti's P.O.V.
"You should DIE!!!"
The illusion of peace brought about by Aarav's presence vanished as Kaatru raged.
His eyes were long since filled with blood as he shouted and hurled the winds at an unprecedented pace toward Aarav, who flew away with a slight flap of his wings, all the while curiously gazing at Kaatru.
Slice!
Slice!
The wind turned into blades, shredding the tree where Aarav once stood. The power of the blades was so great that the whole tree turned to dust. Albeit, this was not the result Kaatru desired.
"Stop running like a mouse!!" shouted Kaatru with all his might as he moved swiftly with the winds in an attempt to catch Aarav.
"Chirp~"
Despite facing such a fearsome being, Aarav leisurely flew above the forest. However, there was something off about his flight. If one observed carefully, Aarav was leading Kaatru above the clouds, toward the farthest corner of the forest.
Slice!
Kaatru threw thousands of blades, and yet Aarav managed to dodge at the last moment. One factor was his size—very small compared to Kaatru, who was akin to a walking tree. The other was the difference between their fighting styles.
Slam!
Kaatru utilized his power to hold debris, rocks, and trees in the sky with him, then hurled them like cannonballs at the flying dove, who steadily increased his pace slightly.
This infuriated Kaatru even more, and he summoned a great tornado beneath his feet—or tried to.
Before his power could successfully bring disaster to the forest and kill more of my innocent children, Aarav moved backward. His wings were covered by a silver light, after which he swiftly flew around the Asura, neatly circling him without letting him touch even a single feather.
"Ahh!"
At each of the joints—feet, hands, and neck—where Aarav's wind made contact, Kaatru felt severe numbness and dizziness. He temporarily fell from the sky, followed by a wisp of dark fog leaving his body.
However, just before his body was about to turn into mincemeat, he woke up—this time with a little fear in his eyes, which were soon clouded by utter rage as he chased after the dove.
On one hand, Kaatru utilized his power to manipulate wind and relied on brute force, thinking only to slice or crush his opponent. On the other, Aarav was well-versed in aerial maneuvering, toying with his opponent through minuscule but precise movements.
Whenever Kaatru tried to concentrate his power, Aarav would interfere with the silver light that seemed pure to the world—but heinous to the eyes of Kaatru.
This led to a wonderful game of cat and mouse between a mindless Asura and a mischievous dove, until...
"YOU SHALL NOT ESCAPE!"
Kaatru had had enough. He created a barrier of wind blades around him, rendering Aarav unable to interfere, as he began concentrating his power.
Shua...
Swish...
One breath...
Two breaths...
Three breaths...
For a moment, peace returned to the sky. However, this peace was not calming—it was the calm before the disaster.
With each passing second, an unidentified terror grew in the surroundings as the two bodies—one covered in an uncountable number of wind blades, the other wrapped in silvery light like a membrane—hovered in the sky.
As no one could interrupt Kaatru, the density of the shard winds around him kept increasing until it reached a terrifying level.
Screech!!!
Vrrrr!!
Clang!!
The surroundings near Kaatru became distorted, as if the wind was cutting even the light, followed by the unpleasant sound of infinite blades grinding against one another.
The current Asura looked even more terrifying—bloodshot eyes, blood oozing from his body, dying the wind around him crimson, as if he were the harbinger of death.
His mere presence was enough to induce terror in the hearts of mortals. The unpleasant sound coming from his gathered power was akin to the screams of thousands of souls in agony.
Albeit, even that was not sufficient before the dove, whose silvery aura stood in stark contrast to the Asura before him.
"HAHAHA!"
After an unknown amount of time, the Asura finally moved—or vanished...
"Chirp?" Aarav felt clueless at losing sight of his enemy, who could not be found.
However, his cluelessness didn't last long, as the Asura was seen falling from the sky.
And he was not alone. With him at the center, the surrounding kilometer was engulfed in a flurry of wind blades, threatening to tear through anything in their path.
As the blades came closer...
"NOW!" Kaatru grunted, assuming a hugging posture.
The surrounding blades clung toward Aarav like a blanket, not leaving a single route of escape.
"DIE!!!" Kaatru shouted, coldly staring at the clueless dove, walking right into his death.
Slice!
Slice!
Slice!
The blanket closed. The screeching of souls turned into slicing sounds. Aarav vanished from the world's sight, leaving behind only dust...
Following his fate, everything came to a sudden halt. A deafening silence fell over the vast sky, leaving behind a bloodied Asura with a cruel smile on his face...
