Chapter 305 - No way!!
"Lucifer? The Lucifer?" Koneko's voice cut through the stunned silence.
Azazel's grin was half-bitter, half-proud. "Yup, the one you're thinking of. That's why I call Vali the strongest White Dragon Emperor ever."
Vali hovered above Kuoh Academy, his white armor glinting. "I'm a hybrid. My human blood let Divine Dividing pick me, but my Lucifer lineage makes me the real deal. If fate's a thing, I'm it."
Devil wings sprouted from his back, black and leathery, proof of his bloodline. The crowd below gaped.
Rias's jaw tightened. "A White Dragon Emperor with Maou blood…"
Sona nodded, her glasses catching the light. In the Underworld, blood was power. A Lucifer descendant, even hybrid, outclassed most High-Class Devils. Vali's potential was insane—Maou-level strength wasn't a pipe dream.
Azazel shrugged, his eyes glinting. "If some cosmic prankster exists, it's gotta be him. Past, present, future—Vali's the strongest White Dragon Emperor, period."
Sacred Gears scaled with their host's raw power. Vali's Lucifer blood put him above High-Class Devils without breaking a sweat, and with Balance Breaker? He was a monster.
Sirzechs's voice turned hard. "Azazel, how the hell did Lucifer's heir end up in your camp?"
"Just dumb luck," Azazel said, hands raised. "I was poking around the Underworld, found Vali getting chased like a stray dog, and took him in. Didn't know his lineage till later."
Serafall opened her mouth to press further, but three teleportation circles appeared in the sky, cutting her off. Three figures stepped out, floating beside Vali. The air in the room shifted—tense, heavy.
Sirzechs and Serafall's eyes narrowed. Rias and Sona gasped, recognizing the newcomers.
"Well, look who's here," Azazel drawled, his lazy grin masking a sharp edge. "The masterminds finally showed up."
Michael's calm faltered, his halo dimming. "It's them."
The leader of the trio was a woman in a skimpy outfit—open-chested top, slit skirt barely covering her thighs. Katerea Leviathan smirked down at the group, her voice dripping with venom. "Long time no see, fake Maou. Sirzechs, Serafall, hogging Lucifer and Leviathan's titles."
Serafall's face crumpled, a mix of shock and pain. "Katerea… why?"
"Don't give me that pathetic look," Katerea snapped, gripping a staff-like weapon. Magic swirled at its tip, forming a glowing orb that screamed destruction.
"Katerea, stop!" Serafall pleaded, her voice breaking.
Katerea swung her staff down. A blast of concentrated magic roared toward the teaching building, the air itself trembling.
*Boom!* The explosion was deafening. Even with its layered barriers, the building crumbled to ash in seconds.
The faction leaders reacted instantly, throwing up a joint barrier that shielded everyone in the conference room. The magic washed over it, harmless.
Katerea laughed, her eyes gleaming. "All three faction leaders teaming up for a barrier? I'm flattered."
"What are you doing, Katerea?" Serafall's voice shook, her fists clenched.
"Stop looking at me like that. It's gross," Katerea spat. "You stole my Leviathan title, and you've got the nerve to stand there whining? Today, I'm taking it back. I'll kill you and reclaim my throne."
As a descendant of the original Leviathan, Katerea had nursed a grudge against Serafall for years, hell-bent on restoring the Old Maou Faction's glory.
Sirzechs stepped forward, his crimson aura flaring. "Stop this now, Katerea. We'll let today slide if you back off."
Katerea's laugh was sharp, mocking. "You? Naive? That's new, Sirzechs. You're on my hit list too."
Azazel snorted, crossing his arms. "Your pep talk's cute, Sirzechs, but they brought an army. They're not here to chat."
"Exactly," Katerea said, her smile vicious. "Your little peace party ends today. Some of you aren't leaving alive."
Vali cut in, his tone sour. "Your plan's already half-baked, Katerea."
He was still stinging from Mahiro Toma's "dumb leader" jab—and the fact that their scheme was unraveling.
Katerea shot a glare at Rias and her crew. "Yeah, one piece fell apart. Who knew they'd drag that vampire kid along?"
Their original plan hinged on hijacking Gasper's Forbidden Balor View, pushing it to Balance Breaker to freeze time across Kuoh Academy. With everyone stuck, Vali could've ambushed a faction leader, landing a critical blow. Mahiro's insistence on bringing Gasper had wrecked that.
"It's a setback," Katerea admitted, her staff glowing again. "But this is our best shot. You leaders are out of your fortresses, guards spread thin. We won't get another chance like this."
Sirzechs's eyes narrowed. "You old losers think you can take us? Looks like Ophis gave you some shiny new toys."
