Change of PoV
The council chamber in the Red Keep was quiet, but the mood was far from peaceful. Prince Viserys sat at the head of the long table, his silver hair gleaming in the soft light, his violet eyes thoughtful.
Around him, the Small Council waited, their expressions a mix of curiosity and unease. The subject on everyone's mind was impossible to ignore.
"The wild dragon from Dragonstone has grown remarkably," Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, began carefully. "The latest reports say it is now about the size of an elephant maybe bigger and we had confirmation when he flew over our heads."
Viserys raised an eyebrow, leaning forward. "An elephant? He was around that size when he came to king's landing. Mmmm what else do we know of its behavior?"
Otto glanced down at a parchment. "It remains wild and unbonded. It does not allow close approach and reacts with loud roars and bursts of flame if disturbed. Recently, it flew off toward the east, seen crossing over the Narrow Sea near the Stepstones and heading for Essos."
The room fell silent for a moment. Corlys Velaryon, Lord of the Tides, finally spoke. "It seems to be exploring, making no attempt to return to Dragonstone or respond to calls. A wild creature in every sense."
"Yes," Otto said. "We have no way to control it. The dragonkeepers can only watch from a distance."
Viserys sighed, running his hand through his silver hair. "A dragon of such size and freedom, it is unlikely anything we can do. Dragons have always been bonded to riders, part of our family and our strength. This one is outside that order, even the other wild dragons don't travel as much as he does."
"It unsettles many," Otto said quietly. "A wild dragon of that scale could inspire fear or worse in the realm, if word spreads too quickly."
Aemma, standing nearby, spoke softly. "But so far, it has not harmed anyone. It roars and marks its territory, but that is a natural behavior for such a creature. Perhaps in time, it could be guided?"
Viserys nodded slowly. "We have seen the reports, but little else. We must be cautious. This creature is not yet a threat, but its freedom means we cannot predict its future actions."
Viserys "We will keep watch and gather information. I will ask Prince Daemon to keep an eye on any developments. His experience with dragons will be invaluable."
Otto stood, signaling the meeting's end. "I will send orders to all dragonkeepers and scouts to report immediately should there be any sighting."
As the council dispersed, Viserys remained seated for a moment, gazing toward Dragonstone across the Narrow Sea. The wild dragon had flown far, growing bigger and wilder than any before it, a living force that could alter the course of House Targaryen's future in ways no one could yet understand.
