Sakura had expected that her orders would be defied by her pissed off Erasthai.
She had expected it, after all that she had done to Elif, it was the cruelest of all. She had not intended to, but there was something about the way that Kiyomi had spoken to her that had ticked her off.
Maybe it was because Kiyomi had made her feel like she would never truly be wanted or because Kiyomi had reminded her that, regardless of what happened, no matter how hard she tried, the universe would never truly be on their side.
It was a cruel thing that fate had forced her into. But this was a hell that Sakura had thrust herself into. Now she was back home, with a broken heart and haunted by a promise she had broken.
Her conscience, gods… was fucking with her for accepting Kiyomi's rejection for a month she had given orders and Kiyomi had defied them all.
Even then, Sakura hadn't had the heart to face her petals.
