Chapter 1389 - Chapter 1182: The Hidden Crisis, The World Competition Begins!_1

"Swoosh swoosh swoosh!"

In the past, territorial boundaries would always be on guard; any external forces would be blocked.

If someone continued to advance, it would mean a fight to the death.

However, today was different. As long as it wasn't a large army invading, passage was unimpeded.

But there were still restrictions; every squad entering Great Xia from outside its borders was followed by a Transcendent Powerhouse, wearing a real-time recording device.

The recording device would display the recorded footage in real-time to the Great Xia officials.

Once a squad from outside destined for Mt. Li changed its course to another location, an alarm would be triggered, and Great Xia would adopt an aggressive stance to launch an attack.

If the Transcendent Powerhouse responsible for tailing lost contact, or if the live recording was interrupted, Great Xia would instantly take measures, launching a relentless attack on the corresponding squad and forces.

This strategy was established by the entire Great Xia upper echelon. With so many Foreign Forces entering Great Xia, if strict rules were not enforced to restrict them, should any foreign powerhouse go berserk, it could cause incalculable losses to the Citizens of Daxia.

Radiant lights streaked across the sky, each carrying a supremely powerful aura; all were Transcendent Powerhouses.

They flew straight to the foot of Mount Li.

On the marble white stone welcoming plaza, Luo Tiance and the Eight Great Family Heads had already been waiting for a long time.

If it were just to meet a leader of a single country, Luo Tiance probably would not make an appearance, let alone wait in advance.

But this time was different. Major powers from around the world were arriving, and the assembly was unprecedentedly formidable.

Had it been anyone else from Great Xia, they simply wouldn't have been able to manage such a high-level situation.

"The Dark Council, here to visit!"

"Swoosh."

A group of men and women dressed in suits, with pale skin, landed, emanating an aura of darkness, frowning at the brilliant sunlight at Mount Li.

Standing beside Luo Tiance, Cao Xiong subtly transmitted his voice, "Elder Luo, why is a young man leading the Dark Council? Where is their president?"

"Isn't this a bit disrespectful to us both."

Luo Tiance did not speak, showing the magnanimity typical of a great cultured nation, and greeted them with a smile,

"Welcome to Our Great Xia, members of the Dark Council. May I know who among you is the leader?"

"I am."

A young man wearing a tailcoat with a pair of black bat wings on his back stepped forward.

His lips were a startling red.

Luo Tiance's eyes flickered, and Cao Xiong stepped forward with a smile and asked,

"May I know how to address this young friend? Are you the newly appointed head of the Dark Council?"

"Not exactly."

The young man's crimson lips parted in a creepy smile that sent chills throughout the audience,

"The chairman fell ill and did not come."

"I, a God's Child, am a descendent of Progenitor Cain, and I have full authority to represent in all matters; that shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Cao Xiong and the others had smiles on their faces but were cursing inwardly;

You must be kidding me.

The president of the Dark Council just achieved Transcendence a few days ago; how could he fall ill?

They were all sly old foxes. Who were they trying to fool with ghost stories?

The clear purpose of sending a young man was to intimidate Great Xia; it looked courteous, but was actually a show of contempt for Great Xia.

As if to say, "Your top leaders in Daxia are only worthy of meeting our juniors."

Zhu Wushi and others behind were somewhat displeased, but they held back and did not make a scene.

"Swoosh!"

Another squad landed, a dozen men and women, all blonde and blue-eyed, with tall statures, dressed in white, loose-fitting robes, exuding an aura of light.

One of the blonde youths stepped out, "I, a descendant of God, Yehova, have come to visit."

Cao Xiong and the others cursed silently.

Is that tone and attitude supposed to indicate a visit?

Why don't you just go to hell.

Since Luo Tiance, the head of household for Great Xia, did not speak out in retaliation to the disrespect,

he would not engage, as it would be beneath him.

The Eight Great Family Heads of Great Xia, though often at odds with Luo Tiance, stood united against the outsiders at this moment.

Qin Zheng smiled and said, "Welcome, members of the Pantheon Temple, to Great Xia. It's our duty as hosts to offer proper hospitality."

Although he smiled on the surface, his internal monologue was raging,

"A bunch of golden-haired dogs, disgusting."

"Hmm."

Yehova glanced at him and merely grunted a response, dismissive and indifferent.

This only added to Qin Zheng's frustration, yet his face maintained a smile.

From the sky descended more than twenty dazzling divine lights, coming from two different directions.

The leader of one squad, his body radiating Buddha's light, was a shaven-headed young monk in robes.

The entire squad consisted of shaven-headed monks.

Meanwhile, the other more varied squad featured individuals of various appearances, including a woman with silver snake-like hair and a brawny, bare-chested man wielding a Trident...

The leader was a youth with surging lightning and brown curly hair, his eyes a deep blue, exuding the presence of a superior being.

"Ancient Buddha Holy Land, greetings to all the Benefactors."

The leading monk bowed with hands together in respect, clearly more polite than the rest.

"A bunch of baldies playing saints; I see your Buddha's Child is nothing more than a hypocrite." The brown curly-haired youth snorted disdainfully, "Mount Olympus, Zeus."

The Buddha's Child replied, "Peace be with you, Benefactor; be mindful of your words, lest you fall into the hell where tongues are plucked."

Zeus retorted, "That's nonsense."

Spectators from the various arriving factions watched with interest, no one trying to stop the argument, including those from Great Xia who remained silent.

They wouldn't mind if a fight broke out.

To see one less would be a benefit, their idiotic brains knocked into sense.

The Buddha's Child watched Zeus for a long time before shaking his head:

"Benefactor, those who know understand you are a God's Child; those who don't might mistake your high-profile demeanor for the legendary Divine King Zeus himself."
