"Good morning, my king." Andrew was met with a light hearted comment from Thalia who was finishing setting up the table. The meal set for a king was waiting for him to which he deduced that it was thanks to Sevyn given that he would be gone for some time.
He took his seat at the far end of the table as he watched Thalia's movements which elicited a tense reaction from her. "Is there anything wrong, my king?" Her tone slightly shaky wondering if she had something wrong.
Andrew's eyes were locked onto her figure during the entire process. "No, nothing's wrong Thalia, I was just wondering how your experience was here at the castle." He mused, using his hand to support his head.
"It's been swell my king. Thanks for asking." A fervent smile washed up on her face as she was done. Ready to take her leave, she made a light curtsy however Andrew posed. "Why don't you join me, I mean given how lonely I'll be here." His tone light and carefree.
She halted her actions, turning back and glancing at the figure who sat nonchalantly in his grand seat. His face had a small smile which came off as inviting. She made a heavy sigh before making her way to the fa end of the table. "Don't tell me that I smell that bad that you'd keep your distance."
A tease from Andrew however she took it way more seriously. "What!? No, my king. It's just that I don't think that I should seat close to you, I am a servant after all." Her demeanor shaky and nervous. "If you say so." He wasn't going to taunt her any longer as he dug into his meal.
Scrumptious and tasty were the select few words that came into his mind. From the alluring wine present along with the warm and well baked bread along with the rest.'I can't believe I'm having a meal with the king on the same table.'
Her mind ran wild with such thoughts. She could barely hold onto the knife and fork in her hands which shook with each plunge she did into her meal. "Do you have any aspirations or dreams alike, Thalia?" Andrew spoke out of the blue.
"Mm? Oh, I'm quite satisfied with the role that I currently have. I never thought that I would be able to prepare a meal for the royal throne." Her statement filled with awkward laughs and smiles.
"Really? You never had any other thoughts or dreams whatsoever. I'm aware that you were a baker because of your father and the situation demanded so but now, are you sure that you don't have any other goals beneath?"
His tone implicating that she already had other plans. "Well with how life was for me, I just wanted to make sure that my father was okay and that was enough for me. But deep down, I've always wanted to gain the strength to avenge my mother."
Her mood more empathetic in comparison to how she was earlier. "I can help you, Thalia." He started off however she seemed reluctant. "No, don't bother yourself by wasting your time with such a lowly servant like me. This is more that enough for me." Digging into her meal. Her eyes actively trying to avoid his.
Before he could go on further, the doors were barged open once more. "Oh ,hi Vivienne." Andrew mused as he saw her figure. The air around her was rather calm and dense, clearly she had just woken up recently. "Chuu~"
The two shared a passionate kiss before she shifted her attention to Thalia. "It seems that you had some company." Thalia however felt that she had overstayed her welcome as she quickly rose to her feet and took her leave making Vivienne wonder what she had done wrong.
"So, when do we leave?" She asked as she took a seat right next to Andrew and delved into the feast laid out for her. "When you were going to wake up." Shortly after the two were done with their meal, they made their way outside to the where the airship was but as of now, it was gone and another was making it's way to where they were.
"What do you think we'll find." Vivienne asked as she saw the aircraft land. "Well I can tell you but that would be ruining the surprise, wouldn't it." Andrew joshed as the two hopped on. The aircraft was sleek in design, something that this world had yet to see.
It had three thrusters at the back which were hidden thanks to the design, coated with nanotechnology and an invisible forcefield not to mention it was powered by antimatter, thanks to Andrew which yielded a huge amount of energy capable of fully powering the beast.
The two made their way to the cockpit and slowly lifted off into the air and after a short distance, the aircraft seemed to make a tear through space and vanished in an instant.
...
Sevyn was waiting in her office for her guest who made her presence known, it was Lyrael who had a cold and detached air about her. She knew that she had matters to clear up with her given the note the two had left on. Lyrael took her seat offered by Sevyn, her silvery eyes boring deep into hers.
As much as she would have wanted to not explain herself, Lyrael was the Saintess not to mention an important public figure who was vital in reassuring the public and fending off the demons. "I take it that you want an explanation for what had occurred back then."
She started off. Lyrael tilted her head as she scrutinized Sevyn. "You're the queen of Sablestone and the notion of you having a proper king isn't the problem but having an affair with him... What do you think the people not to mention the other kingdoms will conclude?"
Her tone slightly irritated. "What? I don't see the problem with it Lyrael. You should try it some time. I'm proud to be one of his." Her tone light and carefree with the implications that Lyrael had brought up. 'So what if they see me as one of his ladies? What are they going to do?'
Lyrael couldn't believe what she was hearing. 'Did she make a vow with him to be one of his ladies for this power? No! He wasn't present at the time but it's hard to tell, it was his lady Ashley.'
"All I'm trying to make sure is that Sablestone isn't wrecked due to some pitiful result because of your actions. Does Lady Ashley even know about this affair?" With a nod from Sevyn, Lyrael was even more confused. 'So she does know and has no problem with it? What a depraved man!'
"Lyrael, you should join us. Become one of his ladies. He'll take good care of you, give you all the power you could dream off and more after all you've experienced it first hand." Sevyn urged as her lips curled into a playful smile.
"The way he has his way with me. Handling me... I don't think that I can live without it." Lyrael could no longer believe what she was hearing. "I think that you should be cleansed from the sins you have indulged in." Lyrael pointed out with her face disgusted with what she was hearing.
"Hahaha! Lyrael, you don't know what an offer you're turning down here. Forget being the Saintess, you can live in luxury and comfort without having to worry about a thing. And besides, even if I do cleanse myself, the others will take him away from me."
Lyrael felt as if she was talking to a psychopath, it was clear that Sevyn wasn't in her state of mind. "If you have nothing else to talk about Lyrael then you can take your leave." Gesturing towards the door which she was tempted to take however there was another question that had been bothering her.
"How did you take over Miragestia? I'm sure that a hundred men wouldn't be able to siege it in a night without any reinforcements or alerting any other kingdoms whatsoever including Aewdwen."
Sevyn tilted her head as if in amusement. "We have capable men Lyrael and you shouldn't underestimate them so much but if you really want to know, then take my offer." With that, she could deduce that Andrew or Ashley probably had a hand in it.
"If these two are so powerful then why don't they take care of the crack if they value you so much?" Sevyn could feel the hostility in her words. "They are, by lending help however not from themselves directly given that they have matters of their own but from others including me."
'And here I thought that they didn't care about Sablestone and they probably don't. I'm sure that they have the power to make an army and deal with the situation and yet they haven't. As for lending help, I can't be sure what she fully means by that.'
She had satisfied her curiosity with coming here and realized something that not only made her feel pleased but betrayed as well. Sure the fact that they were helping the citizens of Sablestone was reassuring but Sevyn to become what she was wasn't what she had expected.
"I'll be at the church waiting for you." And with that, she made her way to the door. "Don't bother, I won't be coming." Sevyn mused as she crossed her plump legs which elicited a look of disgust and displeasure from Lyrael before leaving.
Sevyn looked at the papers on her desk to which they were mostly details involving the developments occuring at Miragestia while others detailing the finer workings of Sablestone. A few more revisions, she opted to make her way to Miragestia for a variety of reasons.
Given that the majority of the operations at Sablestone were fine, she wanted to take a look at how things were going over there. Not to mention Sablestone had a large majority of it's citizens migrate over thus there wasn't much she could do.
...
"I'm sorry but you can't come with me to the castle." Hedon urged as he glanced at the little girl at his feet. Her face pouted clearly dissatisfied with what she had just heard. "But why? I'm powerful enough to take anyone on!"
Curling her hands into little fists trying to flex her muscles which she lacked. Only small bumps could be seen but that didn't mean that her physical body was weak. Far from it, it was one of the best seasoned and perfected on the entire planet given that Hedon himself had refined it along with her mana disc core.
She was capable of lifting weights that tier six experts wouldn't even think off with ease but her looks came off as deceiving. "I know that you're strong Shyla but you simply will have to wait back for this one but don't worry, I won't kill anyone this time."
He urged with a smile on his face however the little lady still seemed unconvinced. His eyes glowed red momentarily before crouching down to her level. "How about this, we'll make a friend that you can bring with you wherever you go?"
Her entire demeanor shifted upon hearing this. "Really? Yay!" Her face projecting her joy. Sure she enjoyed his company but what she really needed was a friend that could accompany her and play with her when he wasn't around an do upon hearing that she would be getting one was a blessing to her.
He formed a small smile which further reassured her. "But you'll have to wait till we get there, okay?" She willingly nodded in approval and with that, he rose back up to his feet as he grabbed his badge.
The Aredrite rank was something that didn't fancy him but the idea of actually working for the better tiers was even less desirable. And with that, he made his way out of the hotel the two were residing in and made his way to the castle.
