Allicent's eyes were trained on the ground, the weight of the chains nearly tearing her wrists apart. But the pain, this pain, was nothing compared to the one he inflicted on her.
She hated him with every fiber of her body, yet here she was, thinking about him even when he was standing right in front of her. She could feel his emotions and so could he, and she hated him more.
"There, it has healed. Just as I remembered it," he said, softly brushing away her long hair to reveal the mark from his earlier mutilation.
Allicent's eyes burned with rage, slowly lifting them to meet with his gaze. The hurt in her eyes had turned into something else... something evil, wicked.
And as much as she wanted to tear Azazel to pieces at any chance she could get, a part of her cared. The part of her that was mated to him. She hated every breath she took but hated herself more.
