Chapter 281 - Chapter 281

"Impossible... I don't believe you. How could my father have betrayed me and leaked Yin's hiding place?" Tang Hao questioned, his voice trembling.

"Why not?" Bibi Dong smiled, her eyes cold. "No one knows a son better than his father. You were the future of the Clear Sky Clan—more promising than even Tang Chen. Your father believed you were the one destined to break through the limit and reach level 100. You were the hope of the clan. So, for that hope... he pushed you forward."

"Impossible. Absolutely impossible!" Tang Hao shook his head, refusing to accept it.

"Tang Hao, nothing is truly impossible. Even the Blue Silver Empress, Ah Yin—did she ever think you'd be the one to betray her? You and your father plotted against her spirit ring and bone from the very beginning. He knew Ah Yin loved you deeply, and when her life was in danger, he was certain she'd sacrifice herself for you."

She paused, her voice turning sharp.

"What he didn't expect was that you'd develop real feelings for her. You turned on the Spirit Hall, severely injured the former Pope, and never returned home. The elders of your clan branded you a traitor and forced your expulsion. In the end, your father... died in despair."

"Bibi Dong, my father died of illness," Tang Hao said bitterly.

"Hah... and you believe that?" Bibi Dong sneered. "He was a Titled Spirit Douluo, over level 90. You expect me to believe that someone like him just died from illness? You're not that naïve, Tang Hao."

Her words struck deep, and Tang Hao's fists trembled at his sides.

Bibi Dong continued, her voice icy but composed. "I found the truth when I took control of the United Federation and ordered a cleanup of old archives. Letters, notes—evidence. If you hadn't been captured, if I hadn't found those letters… the truth would have stayed buried forever."

She stepped closer.

"Your father plotted to steal Ah Yin's spirit ring and bone. He deliberately led her, pregnant and vulnerable, into the streets patrolled by Qian Xunji. It was no accident. Her identity as a matured spirit beast was exposed that day because of you."

Tang Hao's heart sank.

"Maybe later, during your time in hiding, you finally saw her love for you... maybe your conscience woke up. You gave up the plan, cut off contact with your father, and tried to escape your sins with her. But it was too late."

Tang Hao had always suspected the truth behind his father's death. Spirit masters grew stronger and lived longer. For a Titled Spirit Douluo to die of illness in his seventies... it never added up.

Now, with Bibi Dong's words, everything fell into place.

His father had died—consumed by regret, shame, and the betrayal of his only son.

Even the most powerful healing spirit could not cure a broken heart.

Tang Hao closed his eyes, his voice hollow. "Just kill me. I killed your parents… This is my punishment."

"You think you can just die and escape it all?" Ye Feng's gaze turned cold. "You think that's justice?"

Tang Hao met his eyes. "You're just a spirit master. You think you can stop me from taking my own life?"

"You can try," Ye Feng said flatly.

As he raised his hand, ten halos shimmered behind him.

In the God Realm, three halos represented a third-class god, five for second-class, seven for first-class, and nine for a supreme god.

But Ye Feng... had ten.

With a flick of his fingers, emerald green light flooded the chamber. It pulsed with pure life energy.

Tang Hao's eyes widened. "Such strong life force..."

"I'm a god," Ye Feng declared. "And as a god—if I don't allow you to die, then death will not come. You killed my parents. I won't give you the mercy of death. You'll repay that sin a hundredfold."

Tang Hao trembled. "Ye Feng... what are you planning?"

He wasn't afraid of death.

He was afraid... of not being allowed to die.

"You'll find out soon enough," Ye Feng said with a chilling grin.

He raised a hand, and a strand of silver light shot from his fingertips, piercing Tang Hao's forehead.

Tang Hao growled, "Don't you dare, Ye Feng! If you do anything to me, my son—Tang San—he'll come for you! He'll be a god too someday!"

Ye Feng's smile deepened. "A god, huh?"

He remembered Bo Saixi's words well: gods are born in pairs—meant to balance and restrict one another.

Bibi Dong had become a god, but she loved Ye Feng. She would never betray him.

Only Tang San... and the Silver Dragon King... stirred unease in Ye Feng's heart.

Tang Hao's warning confirmed his suspicions.

"Tch." Ye Feng snorted and said nothing more.

"Tang Hao," Bibi Dong suddenly spoke. "I have a gift for Ye Feng."

Ye Feng raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What kind of gift?"

With a mysterious smile, Bibi Dong walked to the stone wall and pressed a brick in its center. It clicked and sank inward.

Rumble!

A section of the wall slid open, revealing a hidden chamber.

"A secret passage?" Tang Hao frowned.

"A hidden room?" Ye Feng murmured, intrigued.

From the darkness of the opening, several vines of Blue Silver Grass reached out and coiled tightly around Tang Hao.

"Ayin...?" Tang Hao's face froze.

He turned to Bibi Dong in disbelief.

"That's right," Bibi Dong said proudly. "Your beloved wife heard every word we just said."

The Blue Silver Empress, now in her plant form, extended her branches. But instead of rescuing Tang Hao... she wrapped them tightly around his neck.

Her betrayal was silent but absolute.

She wanted him dead.

"Ah... Yin..." Tang Hao's voice was barely a whisper. His soul cracked, and despair filled his eyes.

Ye Feng waved his hand, releasing a wave of gray divine power. It sliced through the vines and scattered them like smoke, freeing Tang Hao.

"You dare?" Tang Hao roared. "Just kill me already, Ye Feng!"

"Hahaha!" Ye Feng laughed darkly.

He wrapped one arm around Bibi Dong's waist and looked down at Tang Hao with a twisted smile.

"Dong'er, that was a great gift. Truly... the best."

The cruelest punishment for a fallen man was not death.

It was seeing the one he loved—choose vengeance instead of forgiveness.

Tang Hao would live the rest of his life in regret.

"This is what I owed to my parents-in-law," Bibi Dong said softly.

Ye Feng's hand slid teasingly across her waist and up her back. She blushed and pushed his hand down.

"Feng... not now."

"Why not?" Ye Feng grinned. "You're irresistible."

"There's someone else who needs your attention first," she said seriously.

"Huh? Who?"

"Spirit Healer Lingling."

"My cousin?" Ye Feng blinked.

Bibi Dong nodded. "Yes. You and she were betrothed as children. After your parents' murder, you avoided her, shut her out. She's endured so much over the years. It's time you spoke to her—cleared the air. She deserves that much."

Ye Feng stood in silence for a moment.

"...You're right."
