Chapter 113 - Persuading Banner to Learn Magic

"Taibai, you can close the protective shield now!"

After an unknown amount of time, a voice echoed in the darkness, it was Qi Jun's voice.

"Understood, sir!"

Soon, the protective shield that enveloped the entire space station was retracted, and sunlight once again streamed into the station.

"Is the ritual over?"

Skye stood beside Qi Jun, looking at the two entirely different bodies before her, and asked.

"Yes, the process went smoothly."

Qi Jun fondly ruffled Skye's hair, messing it up. He laughed heartily, "Now it's just a matter of them fully adapting to their bodies and waking up."

"Oh."

The girl pouted and tidied her disheveled hair, curiously gazing at the hulking green figure before her. "Is this guy really stronger the angrier he gets?"

"Of course, theoretically, he has no upper limit, but in this universe, he's probably capped at the Skyfather level."

Qi Jun walked to his usual spot and lay down on a reclining chair. "Taibai, open the solar panels, Daddy needs to recharge!"

"Yes, sir! The solar panels are opening now!"

Skye rolled her eyes but was stunned to hear that the green guy could reach Skyfather level strength. Qi Jun had explained the various power levels in the universe while teaching her three magical skills, so she knew how terrifying a Skyfather level being was. She never expected this green giant could attain such power.

"Mmm, comfortable!"

Hearing the rise in temperature and someone's satisfied sigh, Skye rolled her eyes again, opening a mirror dimension to encompass herself, the green giant, and Bruce Banner.

At one point, Skye suspected Qi Jun might be an alien from Krypton due to his ability to absorb sunlight and survive in space without equipment. But when he showcased formidable magic, she dismissed the idea, knowing Superman in Marvel comics doesn't use magic.

A roar pulled Skye back to reality, and she saw the green giant had awakened so quickly.

"Hulk! Happy! Excited! Fight!"

Initially, Skye was pleased hearing Hulk's words, considering he would be a future colleague. But then, why did he want to fight right away? And what was with that punch?

Wham! Seeing the punch aimed directly at her, Skye instinctively used a shockwave to knock Hulk away.

Thud! Even in a mirror dimension, the environment was a realistic projection, and Hulk's collision with the alloy wall of the space station made a dull sound.

"Hulk! Shockwave!"

"Hulk! Air Cannon!"

"Hulk!..."

Unfortunately, no matter what attack Hulk launched, Skye easily neutralized them with her shockwaves.

"Hulk! No fight!"

After a long, frustrating fight where he couldn't land a hit and had his attacks deflected, Hulk sulked in a corner, drawing circles on the floor.

"Heh heh."

Seeing Hulk's frustration, Skye smirked triumphantly.

"So what if you're a future Skyfather level being? I'll be able to shatter the universe!"

Just then, Bruce Banner finally woke up after a long slumber, bewildered by his surroundings. The space station was in disarray, one alloy wall was wrecked, yet they could still breathe. Could they breathe in space now? How did his PhDs not cover this?

"Ah, Dr. Banner, you're awake...!!! Do you feel any discomfort?"

Skye saw Bruce Banner's confusion and quickly changed the subject, also dispelling the mirror dimension to return them to the real space station.

Qi Jun had already finished recharging, and the temperature inside the space station had returned to normal. Thus, when Skye dispelled the mirror dimension, no one felt uncomfortable.

"Are you also a magician?"

Bruce Banner, noticing the now intact space station, recalled the mirror dimension he had been in and looked at Skye in disbelief.

"Why can't a magician's friend also be a magician?"

Qi Jun interjected, materializing two chairs. "Sit down, let's talk."

"Hulk! Comfortable!"

Hulk didn't care about the environment change. Seeing a chair suited to his size, he sat down without hesitation, groaning contentedly.

"My friend is quite something, isn't he?"

Qi Jun conjured a pile of enormous fruits for Hulk, then turned to Bruce Banner. "If you want to learn magic, I can teach you."

Unlike Kamar-Taj, where everyone could learn magic but ended up as berserkers, Qi Jun wasn't planning to teach everyone. But if he did teach, he'd turn them into terrifying mobile artillery. Imagine a scientist with seven PhDs becoming a walking arsenal of ice, lightning, and fire spells. It would be quite entertaining.

And with his scientific knowledge, Bruce Banner could bring a new twist to many spells.

"Uh..."

Bruce Banner was stunned. Magic, such a mysterious thing, shouldn't it require trials and recognition before being taught? How could it be as simple as buying groceries at a market?

"But can I even learn magic? I mean, at my age, can I still learn?"

For an Eastern person, learning to cultivate immortality is highly tempting, as is learning magic for a Westerner. Especially after seeing magic firsthand!

"Oh, right, we haven't tested your magical aptitude yet."

Qi Jun smacked his forehead. He hadn't thought of it before, but it wasn't too late.

"Here, hold this crystal ball, it can detect any magical aptitude you have."

Qi Jun materialized a crystal ball often seen in magic novels.

"Is it really that simple?"

Bruce Banner...
