Alex stumbled and then rested against the wall, dropping the note whilst keeping in his urge to go insane, "The dragons... The dragons... Why? Why would he choose the dragons over his own kind? Over the love of his life?" Alex stood there watching his lover bilge out the dark essence of what was spilled. "Delion is mad.. Insane... W-... We mustn't dwell too hard.. Not on this," He stood up and rubbed against Leila's back softly, "For now.. Let's see if we can fix Taven from his bewitched mind."
She nodded before more cursed bile left her body. After a few moments of getting the Elven Princess to herself again, they started their way to the dungeons to go see the young boy. Leilannia held her liver as they approached, "If it's another dark curse, I'll have to do a cleanse… and with the magic on that note, the dark magic needed to influence a person is more potent… It'll take a bit longer. You'll have to stall him, see if you can reason with his purity as I purify."
Alex gave a nod as he followed her to the dungeons. He simply shook his head as it was still stuck with the horrors of what was on that note. Sanity had left this person a long time before that note was even written. Alexandru now felt sympathy and regret. He thought he knew what true evil was when he killed his father. In hindsight, it was a vengeful; a hurt man, who simply wanted to hold his wife once again. Alex spoke softly, "If he's cursed the same. I don't want you performing the cleanse. Do you have a team of some sort who could do it just as good if not better?" He asked not wanting her to strain her system anymore than she had to.
She saw his concern and kissed him, "I will be fine, as long as it releases. There are very few who can deal with this magic… My father taught me. Regardless, I want to help you, my love," They reached the cell, the angry possessed child basically foaming at the mouth in the corner. Leila Spoke firmly, "Step in dear, I'll start the ritual."
Alex was worried for his lover. He knew she was already weak just by how she walked to the cell. He did not doubt her words. He trusts his lover.
Alex opened the gate of the cell. The boy foamed in rage and shot his direction towards Alexandru. The boy screamed and roared, "The foul beast of the damned! A wretched necrotic offspring! Realize your existence! You're but a small regret of an elven family... Rot! ROT!! Rot for the whores and demons who drink from the beasts teat!"
Alex stood firm with a sad and sympathetic look on his face, "Taven, I am no beast. I'm just a man. I wish for you to become a man one day too... But if you let that curse bend your will and mind, you will die young and scared. And nobody wants that for you, Taven."
The boy thrashed in shackled which began cutting his wrists and ankles. The boy screamed and screeched as tears suddenly streamed down his cheeks. Alex glanced at Leilania and spoke firmly, "This child will die if I stay. If he remains like this for too long, he will bleed out."
She took his hands and led him out to watch as she entered the cell. She forced to hold the young boys hands, even though he clawed and scratched at her. A glowing green ring sprouting flowers appeared around them. Her voice was almost inter dimensional. Distorted but clear, she spoke yet chanted out, "Young one. Your princess is here and she called to your purity. Your heart is corrupted with death and hatred. Your eyes are blind to reality as all you see is the sins committed by the one who is trying to take your soul. Listen to me and give me your faith. Give the All Father your faith and listen to his words. Do you not hear him?"
Alex could hear whispers, a language he didn't understand but this voice was not of this plane.
The Princess continued, "Let him guide you. Let him guide us. Let us purge the TRUE rot," Her golden waves flowed around them with an invisible gust of wind, "Think of the All Father, think of your mother. Reclaim her love and her touch. Let us purge the rot so you may hold her once more."
Alex tried to avoid listening to the incoherent voice that lingered over his lover and this hostile child. The voice was that of a creature beyond him. His existence threatened the elven speech. Alex felt ill if he were to listen too hard to it. He watched worried but he felt like being here may be more of a tax for her than she thought.
Taven's thrashing softened to twitches and jolts as the boy stared at the princess that was saving him. The boy had a scared look with glowing white eyes, "help me!" He whimpered.
"I will save your soul, Trust in me!" She plunged her hand into him and his screaming got violent. Her hand was phasing through the boy, clutching something, trying to grab a firm grip. Alex could tell this was like the bubbles she would make. She was not harming him but the essence inside that's invaded the boy. She wasn't actually ripping into him.
"THE ALL FATHER FORBIDS YOUR EXISTENCE! THIS KINGDOM FORBIDS YOUR PRESENCE! I FORBID YOU FROM TOUCHING MY PEOPLE AGAIN! I WILL PURGE THIS ROT! AND EVERY THING YOU TOUCH!" She then yanked her hand out as the child collapsed and Lelia contained the large corrupt black mass in a bubble, panting violently as she handed the bubble to one of the guards and crawled to hold and un-cuff the boy, he sobbed in the arms of the princess as she shushed him. She sang him a soft Elven lullaby, "Shh~. You are safe child, protected forever more."
Alex opened the cell and rushed over to Leila but a guard gripped him by the arm, halting his motion. The guard glared at Alexandru, knowing that his perspective toward Alex may still be skewed. Alex took a step back as the boys eyes glanced at him. Taven looked scared and confused.
Taven broke the hug from the princess and stood up and looked at Alex, "Y-You're the nice man who I stabbed... right?" He sniffled, scared and unsure what to do.
Alex hesitantly gave a nod. This curse had Taven aware of his actions. Even had him convinced that they were his own choices. The boy suddenly began to cry as he rushed over to cling to Alex, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!! I don't know why I did that! I am so sorry!" The boy just kept repeating about how sorry he was. Alex pet his head gently unsure of how to comfort the boy. Alex's eyes glanced at Leila an then the guard who stopped him, trying to find someone to help him comfort the child. He was not good at this.
Leila smiled then held her hand and the wall as she stood, "Take the child home. Ask the family to place protections on the house. All old letters need to go through the grove," the guards gave a nod before Leila continued, "I need food…please."
The maids rushed in to help her out of the cell as they all left the dungeon together. They set Leila in a chair at the dinning hall. She looked to her lover, her face was pale, this ritual was heavy, "You may g-go with the boy to see him safe if you wish… If you'd like to stay with me… I-I would like that too."
Alex gave a soft sigh as he stood ahead of her and shook his head, "No," He said as he knelt and faced the boy, "Taven, I need to never blame yourself for the actions your body made. Reading that letter was the only mistake you made and in any other scenario, you would have given a slap at the wrist and that's it..." with that, Alex gestured Taven to lend his hand.
Taven had a look of fear from Alex as she he then shamefully and slowly presented his wrist. He closed his eyes tightly, ready for his punishment
Alex held his hand lightly by the wrist and then gave him his knife back. The boys eyes opened wide. Alex spoke calmly, "You need to protect your family. This is a tool to do that, but please. Don't try to stab your king again."
The boy stared at the knife and back at Alex, "...My king?"
"Oh shit! Right! Uh- Guard, please escort Taven back to the Thelvon home," Alex said realizing he may have spoiled the news for him.
Leila laughed, a sweet color returning to her cheeks as she then chugged some honey wine and started eating some fruit and meat, "Darling, we may as well have a wedding as soon as possible," She coughed a bit but smiled, moving to a potion bottle before chugging it and gagging softly, "Yuck! Agh~," She smiled and continued eating, desperate to refill her energy.
The stench of the remedy she chugged was a hard scent to take in. Taven walked out with a guard as Alex walked to his darling and knelt ahead of her, "Well then, I would rather do this properly, my sweet flower," He said as he then took her hand. With his other hand, he tugged a chained necklace off of him and showed her his mother's ring. The only thing, besides a photo, he has ever had of her.
"My beautiful, powerful, manifestation of all I live for. My heroin. My princess. My queen. Do you take this humbled and delicate vampire to be the man who carries you to war, peace, hope, fear and to bed..." He chuckled, "... To be your king? To promise the lands that our touch will only bring utter joy and love? Do you wish to be wedded and be my wife?" His voice was strained. He held it in though, he would ruin this moment if his eyes were stained in blood.
She smiled and let him put the ring on her finger as she pulled him up and to hold him tightly, kissing him deeply and passionately. All that energy she had depleted suddenly came back tenfold just to cling to him in this loving embrace as she cried out, "Yes, my King! Yes~!" She held him close as her body shivered in love and desire. She shimmered at his touch, like her body glowed with life from his love, "I love you Alexandru. I will be your Queen forevermore. We will be together until our existence is no more."
Alex clung to her like she was everything, because she simply was. Her last words rang true in his head. On the hopeful chance neither of them were to pass unexpectedly, she would eventually die before he would. Even though they are of a similar age range, elves age faster than vampires. Normal vampires don't age at all, but since he's part elf, he knows he will eventually age, but he will double her life span. He still chose to cling to his beloved. He didn't care at this moment. She was everything.
"So when's the wedding?" He teased
