Although it sounded like he was merely murmuring to himself, his words were exceptionally loud; while the others didn't fully grasp the mystery behind the conversation between the two men, or what exactly was meant by this inexplicable dialogue, that last statement they understood well enough.
These two men were saying that they didn't have the qualifications! Were they suggesting that they weren't qualified to spar with them?
