"….Calida…"
The flames that coated Calida's body dispelled when she held out her hand. "I am sorry Anemone— I didn't realize it was you." She panicked, the tips of her hair returning to a bright crimson. "I almost turned you to ash."
"That was you." She raised her hand, before she could reaching out, she pulled back. Seeing this, Calida grabbed her wrist. "You are acting distrustful. Back when you came to our place, you were cautious but never distrustful."
"Well yeah," Calida pulled her up, "Wouldn't everyone be? You just showed an unbelievable amount of power." Anemone's eyes returned to brown from their once golden hue. She coughed, panting still. Calida grabbed her wrist tightly, "Are you okay? My brother didn't do anything to you, did he?"
"He never did…."Her legs felt as weak as noodles. A dizzy spell accompanying that sensation. No sooner had she said those words than Calida caught her. "You should always tell the truth, you look like you are about to die."
"I am fine. It's no big deal. I am just still recovering from a fight I had. I have never had to use spiritual magic to swim through spiritual magic so it broke me down in a way."
"I see,"
Silvo questioned, "Calida, do you happen to know who she is?" Pulling down his hood. Exposing his black luscious lock which faded to purple.
"I haven't introduced you yet, have I? This is Anemone….my brother's— I will just call her wife."
"What?" Anemone wondered, interrupted by a loud shout.
"What?! YOUR BROTHER GOT MARRIED! Why did you never tell me? I could have made it to the wedding and everything. Our brother got married and you never said anything." Silvo was beside himself with guilt, what do I do? What do I do? He began pacing back and forth before he saw a flaming feather appear in front of him. "what is it?"
"I never finished my introduction. Anemone, this is Silvo. Otherwise called my other brother though he just a family friend. My father and his friend loved their brotherhood so badly, the children practically consider each other siblings." She looked toward the forest. "Do you have any relation to the man I blew up just now."
"Yeah, he is a friend mine and Asim!" Calida smiled before she added, "So you call him Asim now. Silvo. Bystier are gathering in vicinity right about now. They will rip him apart if they find him." An explosion went off in the distance. "I stand to be corrected, they already have."
Past the trees in the forest, a silver glow could be seen in the distance. It blitzed toward them before falling when it got close. Walter coughed as he crawled toward them. His gaze became vacant when he stopped.
Silvo looked down when he replied, "He ran here in his condition. He is unconscious now. That was some endurance. I would never even try breathing if I was in his state."
"Whose fault do you think that is? You flung him crazy hard." Calida said, her gaze narrowing.
"And you blew him up. We are both at fault." Anemone rushed toward Walter, checking his pulse. It had slowed considerably. His wounds coated by a silver aura as they tried to heal the massive burns and cuts he had.
"Calida…he was your brother and his wife's friend. You know you could have told me. I wouldn't have hit him otherwise."
"I never knew as well. Imagine my surprise when I found out."
"Take it from me.. Calida, you look more bothered than surprised." Calida let her mind dwindle, her consciousness slipping deeper and deeper still into a pool of flames. At the depth of her conscious, she heard a voice.
'My lady. Speaketh yon thou wish to wot."
"cut out the prophetic nonsense and mimic my speech pattern. Tell me, do you see it too?"
'Your brother's feather I presume. As clear as day.'
She clenched her fist before she wondered, What is he thinking? Why would he mark her as his own?
'My lady, hard though it may be to believe. Your brother is more than capable of marking another. Maybe there is someone he wishes to sniff out.'
"You are being ridiculous…Asim would never do that."
'Granted…though Formless would have no trouble pulling it off. You are quick to forget….he and your brother are one.'
Her mind was then drawn to the present. "Silvo, I need a favor. Can you remove a seal of my brother's?"
"If it is magic. Other than that, I am incapable of nullifying it. I am going to go ahead and assume….you want to remove the tie to him from his wife. That seal is hard to miss."
"Yeah, it will only be a matter of time before it becomes an issue." A black feather belonging to formless. Why would you do that? It's a mark placed on his vassals. "I am going to look for my brother now. And Silvo…"
"I understand….I will seek you out once I am done. I will need to see Asim's wife a little longer."
"Do what you want? Just don't lay a finger on her." She said before the mask returned to her face. Her body became clad in flames when she flew away. Silvo looked to the sky before adding, Do I seem like that bad a person?
~
Silvo sat on one of the branches of the giant tree, watching them from a distance. He let out a sigh, This is boring….He yawned barely keeping himself from falling asleep. It has already been four hours sith Calida departed. Knowing her, it may only be a matter of time before this space crumbles from her spiritual vibrations. She has been doing a relatively good job at keeping her true power suppressed. How long then becomes the question? I am not there to help her anymore.
Silvo's wondering mind was brought to the present by Anemone, who had raised her hand, signaling at Walter's awakening. Silvo got up, heading to where she sat.
~
Walter opened his eyes, looking more exhausted than before. His eyelids heavier than before, his breathing running shallower still. "Are you okay, Walter? Your spiritual vibrations have stabilized but the tow they had on you still remains."
"I am finding it hard to believe that I fell asleep," Walter eyes widened before a silver aura coated his body once more. Flashes of lightning erupted from his aura, ripping apart the ground beneath him and Anemone.
"Wal….." Before she could even call his name, he dashed. In an instant, his fist was buried against Silvo's hand. The latter's hood and jacket blew from the wind pressure that came with the hit. A yellowish aura poured from his right eye as its pupil dilated, covering majority of his iris. Silvo pulled Walter close before slamming him into the ground. His left hand, grabbing Walter's throat tightly.
A Silver metal appeared floating as extensions to the aura that ran rampant from his eye. They then descended, piercing Walter's joints. They pinned him to the ground, so much so he could hardly move. His breathing became more erratic.
"Wielding your magic will only result in more pain. Those are my Void rods. Pieces of metal enveloped in my null concept. They dissolve magic…never spiritual vibrations. Put simply, the more spiritual vibration conversion your body carries out, the more unbearable this is. Then again, you can always tell the nodes to stop."
"Walter!" Anemone called before she arrived. "Silvo, what did you do?"
This is probably the part where Waves nonsensical gabber will start to make sense. What do I do? What do I do? He began pacing back and forth before he snapped his fingers. "You saw it, sister-in-law. He charged at me. I only defended myself as I had no other choice."
"Sister-in-law? Do you two know each other?" He coughed before his aura dissipated.
"Sorry Walter, those two who attacked us earlier were Kano's siblings," she grabbed the rod. Her hands bounced off, leaving burn marks where they had touched. She groaned in pain.
"My rods destroy constructs of magic," He snapped, letting the rods disappear. He reached out his hand, offering Walter a hand before the latter shoved it aside. "I suppose you are one of the few my silver can not conquer yet. I will change that." He got back to his feet, dusting his clothes as a silver aura coated his joints.
"I want to believe that we are on better terms now. Do remember, the impossible is just that—impossible." Anemone opened her hand only to see her palms bleeding. Her hands burned, as though she was still touching the rods. Silvo looked at her palms before adding, "I may have messed up. Sister-in-law just release magic to counteract. Your body seem to rely heavily on magic to preserve its form. That is most perplexing. I will be going now. I need to find that fool of a sister Calida before she burns everything." He turned, readying himself for a run before he remember something else he wished to say.
"Walter was it? Calida left me a message. "Don't let my brother's magic enter your body anymore." Be mindful, as her words hold more in the way of meaning." He dashed, disappearing into the forest. Anemone fell to her knees, finally relaxing. "That scared me. If they were that strong, she could have at least mentioned it when I visited."
Walter looked at his hands, That stinging sensation. My aura was completely overpowered. They really are monsters. He grinned, "Now that just begs the question—,just how strong is Kano himself."
"Yeah, I am curious about that as well." His ever fluxing magic…his duel nature and ever the delusions that haunt him. I want to know. Why are everyone of his relatives powerhouses of magic?
[And with that, another question was born in my mind. It was the first time I had ever sensed magic in the Gamma series of power. Magic classed as divinity but I understood nothing of it. What they brought to me were question and more abilities to analyze? I was overflowing with data, allowing my even patient heart, another beat. Another dive at concepts I considered foreign.
I was falling for fate's trap—everything playing out as it designed. My awakening included.]
