POV Narcissa Malfoy and Andromeda Tonks
When the woman received the invitation from her now-overlord, she wasn't really surprised, in fact, she assumed it would be like this. Well, what would we be if we didn't have feelings, emotions — without them, life would be a gray existence. As a human being, and no less importantly as a real woman, Narcissa cherished the hope that her foolish husband would think with his head and not with the organ responsible for his pride and inflated ego.
And once again it should be clarified that this representative of a pure-blood family with a very old history simply could not not know the price of herself and her self-respect and inflated self-esteem, especially against the background of the commoners she had to face at Hogwarts — this is just common sense for such people, they are born with it and later only find a lot of confirmation of their ego. But even she thought that Lucius was exaggerating and even raised his son the same way.
It was good that Draco's wife turned out to be a smart girl, understandable, with her it was quick and easy to come to an agreement, so at least in this family unit Malfoy will be all right, and Narcissa could not be happy with her son and daughter-in-law. It was a pity that not all hopes were fulfilled, but the worst assumptions were usually not wrong.
The woman had no way of knowing what her restless husband was up to, especially as she had no way of knowing what was really going on in the realm of a dubious enterprise that was not discussed in high society. For some reason, it seemed to everyone that the mere mention of this place could make one dirty, and it was not at all certain that one could quickly get rid of the unpleasant smell.
Narcissa had long suspected that Lucius was up to something again — it was not for nothing that he was always late for "work", that he pushed his family's affairs to the back of his mind and ignored his son and daughter-in-law. Who could not be suspicious in such a situation? In general, the woman realized that again approaching problems, and this time is quite real option of the future, in which to solve these problems will have to be her. Reading the latest issue of "The Prophet" only confirmed her suspicions.
Then came the reports from "her" people in the Ministry (bribed informants, harmless because they do not reveal anything secret, only the political atmosphere of the country), and Narcissa did not even express her anger and irritation, which very quickly burned out, leaving only the stubborn determination of an atomic icebreaker, against which all obstacles are powerless, because the name of this "icebreaker" is "a woman from the Black Family"! And that has always meant a lot, and I don't care if the Black Family is on the brink of destruction! She is the daughter of her family, and I don't care what anyone thinks!
After receiving a letter from Hoshino, who was actively involved in the "Factory" mess, it was actually he who received the information about the whereabouts of the kidnapped Hogwarts student, and he also organized this unexpected operation. The authors of the article lamented that they were not allowed to capture both the hero and the young wizard he rescued in person, but the colorful interviews of the participants made up for this disappointment.
The ensuing "decent" magical photographs of the events inside the "factory" caused a "boom" in sales of various sedative potions, as well as potions of Dreamless Sleep. When the boy had written to her, and even now when it was time to "take the froth off", it had been about her family, and so Narcissa, dressed appropriately and inviting her only surviving sister to join her, activated the magic of the portal imposed on the letter itself.
Finding themselves in a large, windowless room with a door that was powerful even in appearance, the sisters thought the worst. Andromeda wasted no time in surrounding them with one of the most powerful shield spells known to the Black Family. Both women were covered in a ball of smoke, as if they were alive and had tentacles that could attack the enemy at will. The bright light in the room did nothing to dampen the women's belligerent mood — they realized that it would be more difficult for them to defend themselves under such circumstances, since they were in plain sight and there was no cover.
The wave of yellow light that followed a few seconds later, showing strange broken lines on the walls, only increased the belligerent mood — none of the sisters wanted to surrender without a fight. But after a few seconds, the door clicked loudly and the barrier slid softly and silently aside, disappearing into the wall. A small teenage girl stood in the doorway. She bowed to them and spoke immediately. Despite the distance between them, the girl's voice was clear and distinct.
— Welcome, dear guests! We apologize for this misunderstanding, but the established rules of security are immutable. — The girl bowed again, and the women relaxed a bit as Andromeda dispelled the protective sphere. — The master is waiting for you. Please follow me.
The women quietly left the "arrival hall" and followed the girl, who introduced herself with the simple name "Momo". Like any woman and hostess, Narcissa was curious to see the style of the house, and Andromeda was curious too, especially since they were both used to the local architecture and design, so the oriental style could not help but interest them.
Although the fact that they had to take off their shoes did not make those who were used to walking with shoes even in their own homes very happy, at least slippers were offered. Momo herself went barefoot and looked very natural, probably used to it.
The owner was found on a wide veranda with mighty carved pillars supporting the awning roof. He was sitting, it seemed, on the light-colored floorboards and drinking, apparently tea, from a tall cup without a handle. He was dressed in something resembling the local robes, so loose and wide, only the circular family crest was embroidered on the back (or so the two women thought) — a dragon and a tiger frozen in a leap after each other. Narcissa immediately remembered the information about the Muggle-born girl's brooch — it seems they were right, it was the attention of that bugger that had fallen on her.
— Oh, hello, ladies! — The guy turned to them, but didn't get up to greet them, just smiled at them. — Please, have a seat.
