Huo Jingtang went to Jiazhen Building to buy two breakfasts on his way to the hospital, intending to bring them to Huo Zhongming and Huo Jingfeng at the hospital. He then bought a bouquet of perfume lilies at a flower shop next to the hospital.
When he arrived at Huo Jingfeng's ward, breakfast in hand, Jingfeng had already woken up.
Huo Zhongming, seeing his son awaken, had a glimmer of joy light up his worried eyes. He asked Huo Jingfeng with concern, "Son, you're awake?"
Huo Jingfeng looked around at the unfamiliar environment before his gaze finally settled on Huo Zhongming's face, "Dad, why am I in the hospital?"
"You forgot, you were injured, so we came to see the doctor. You fainted en route, and the doctor suggested hospitalization, so that's what we did," Huo Zhongming patiently explained, "You don't know how much blood you lost. Grandpa was too rough; there wasn't an uninjured spot on your back. I was nearly scared to death when you fainted."
