Chapter 76 - Trial of the Heavenly Bed: Can a Mortal Survive Four Women and a Goddess?

The night in Cloudfire Sect was unusually quiet.

Too quiet.

The kind of quiet that came right before a thunderstorm… or in this case, a romantic disaster.

Inside Wang Li's bedchamber, six cultivators now occupied the room—five of them breathtakingly beautiful women with power that could shatter mountains, and one of them…

A terrified Wang Li clutching his pillow like a life-saving spiritual artifact.

"Let's set the ground rules," Bai Xueyao said as she casually poured wine into a jade cup, leaning against the wall like a victorious general surveying her spoils.

"There are rules now?" Wang Li asked in horror.

"Rule one," she continued, ignoring him. "No one touches Wang Li unless he initiates it first."

"Agreed," Lin Ruoyan said smoothly, although her fingers glowed faintly with flirtatious fire qi.

"Rule two," said Mu Qingling, arms crossed. "We take turns."

Feng Yuling coughed lightly. "We are still cultivators of dignity, mind you."

Yuechan, the celestial goddess of mysterious origin, tilted her head. "Mortal customs are amusing. In the heavens, we just share."

Wang Li nearly choked on his own breath. "I'm right here, you know!"

"Shh," they all said at once.

He wanted to cry.

But instead, he sat on the edge of the bed, looking like a condemned man waiting for execution—or salvation.

"Alright, fine," he muttered. "If you're all staying here, at least let me meditate."

"Sure," Bai Xueyao said. "Let's all meditate together."

The others nodded, forming a circle around him.

He closed his eyes.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Find peace.

And then—

"Wang Li."

His eyes snapped open.

Yuechan sat beside him, her body inches away. Her starlight aura shimmered faintly, making it hard to even breathe near her. "Your soul... it trembles."

"That's because you're too close," he muttered.

She leaned in. "Your bloodline is awakening again. I can assist you with the merging. But it will require… contact."

Wang Li paused. "...Define contact."

She leaned even closer. "Physical. Intimate. Soul-bonded."

Mu Qingling raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me, did she just say soul-bonded?"

Bai Xueyao didn't even look up. "I told you. The goddess is aiming for top seat."

"I'm the top seat," said Ruoyan.

"Please," Feng Yuling snorted. "You're barely even—"

Wang Li stood up. "Okay, okay, stop. I'm not merging souls with anyone tonight!"

Everyone froze.

He took a deep breath and walked to the window.

The moonlight bathed his face. His golden eyes, no longer entirely human, glowed like twin suns. His aura rippled faintly, and the dragon-shaped birthmark on his back burned with a low hum.

He wasn't just a mortal anymore.

He wasn't just a cultivator either.

He was becoming something... more.

Behind him, the girls stared.

Even Yuechan's expression softened slightly. "You're growing faster than I expected."

He turned, slowly.

"I'm not the same man I was when I reincarnated here," he said.

"You weren't a man back then," Bai Xueyao muttered under her breath. "You were a walking flirtation hazard."

Wang Li pointed a finger at her. "That's not inaccurate, but that's beside the point."

He looked at all of them, each one of them beautiful, powerful, and somehow intertwined in his chaotic fate.

"I want to protect you all," he said. "Not just with power—but with purpose."

There was silence for a moment.

Then Yuechan stood. "Very well. I shall offer you a blessing."

She stepped forward and placed her palm over his heart.

A warm, divine pulse spread through his body.

> [System Alert: You have received the Goddess's Lunar Mark.]

> [Temporary boost: +5 Levels. Resistance to Yin Qi. Charm increased by 300%.]

> [Warning: You may now attract divine beings without intending to.]

"Wait—what was that last part?!" Wang Li yelled.

Yuechan smiled. "You'll find out."

Then she floated up and disappeared into a mist of silver light, leaving the room—and Wang Li's sanity—in shambles.

The other girls stared at him.

"You know," said Feng Yuling, "that charm boost might actually explain a lot."

"I already have too many problems," Wang Li growled.

Bai Xueyao laughed. "Let's make it worse."

And suddenly, they all moved at once.

Pillows flew.

Wine was spilled.

Someone summoned a spiritual duck.

It was chaos. Glorious, divine chaos.

By the end of the night, Wang Li lay sprawled on the bed, his hair disheveled, his robes half-untied, and his qi thoroughly disturbed.

But he smiled.

Because in all the madness...

He wasn't alone.
