The moment Wang Li saw Bai Mei sitting gracefully on his bed, all thoughts of rest vanished like mist under the sun.
Her snow-white robe barely clung to her shoulders, revealing long, flawless legs and an almost criminal amount of skin. A faint spiritual mist surrounded her body, carrying the intoxicating scent of lotus dew and spirit wine. In her hand, she held a crystalline jade cup filled with a silvery-purple liquid that shimmered with dense qi.
"You..." Wang Li pointed, eyes wide. "You're not supposed to be here!"
Bai Mei pouted. "That's not how you greet a beautiful woman who traveled thousands of miles just to see you."
"You mean spy on me."
"Details," she said sweetly. "Now come sit with me, Little Hero. The wine's warm, and my patience is cold."
Wang Li hesitated at the door. "If Mu Qingling finds you here, she'll kill me."
"If Lin Ruoyan finds me, she'll duel me."
"If Feng Yuling finds you, she'll freeze the whole mountain."
Bai Mei blinked innocently. "Then you'd better keep me hidden… under your sheets, maybe?"
"You're insane," he groaned.
"And you're irresistible," she replied, patting the space beside her.
---
Ten minutes later…
Wang Li had somehow ended up beside her, half-drunk on spiritual wine, half-drunk on her presence. Bai Mei leaned on his shoulder, humming softly, running her fingers through his hair.
"You're stronger than before," she said. "You've awakened some kind of… ancient power. Even my Spirit Gazing Eyes can't see through it."
Wang Li nodded. "It's… complicated."
"Everything about you is complicated. Your cultivation path. Your past lives. Your exes."
"Don't remind me."
"But I don't care," she whispered. "Because I want to be the only one who sees what you become. When you ascend to the heavens, I want to be the one flying beside you."
His heart skipped a beat.
"I'm already dealing with too many girls," he said quietly. "You'll just make it worse."
"I'll make it worth it."
And then she kissed him.
Not a quick kiss. Not a shy one. A deep, knowing, melting kiss that sent a tremor through his dantian and made the spiritual wine in his veins boil like lava.
She leaned back with a wicked smile. "Oops. Was that too forward?"
Wang Li's eyes were dazed. "I think you just unlocked a new realm of dual cultivation."
---
But before things could escalate…
BANG!
The door exploded.
Standing in the doorway was Mu Qingling, holding a glowing sword.
Behind her was Lin Ruoyan, rolling up her sleeves.
And above them, descending from a snowy mist, was Feng Yuling on an ice lotus cloud.
"Oh no…" Wang Li whispered.
"Oh yes," Bai Mei purred, sipping more wine. "Let's see how you survive this one, Little Hero."
---
Outside the courtyard…
Booms of battle echoed as spiritual light tore through the air. Bai Mei's seductive laughter danced between icy explosions, clashing blades, and angry shouts.
"I didn't know you were holding an orgy!" Lin Ruoyan shouted.
"This is a misunderstanding!" Wang Li yelled, diving behind a spirit tree.
"Lies!" Feng Yuling summoned a hail of divine frost.
"I wasn't going to sleep with her!"
"You already kissed her!" Mu Qingling's sword missed his ear by an inch.
"I'm innocent!"
"LIAR!"
---
Later that night…
Wang Li sat on the edge of his bed, covered in bruises, scorch marks, and bite marks (some romantic, most not).
All four girls had ended up in a spiritual brawl so intense that three elders had to intervene. The Sect Master had been woken up. Disciplinary elders had been called.
In the end, the only punishment had been directed at him.
"Reflect on your actions for seven days," the Sect Master had said. "And stay in solitary cultivation."
"Solitary?" Wang Li had asked, blinking.
"No women. No dual cultivation. No distractions. Or you'll be punished."
Which was why now, as he sat in silence, he heard a soft knock on his window and nearly screamed.
It slid open.
A small head peeked in. Silver hair. Mischievous smile.
It was… Little Fox, the mischievous shape-shifting spirit beast who had once disguised herself as a pillow and nibbled his neck in his sleep.
"Miss me?" she giggled.
Wang Li fell over backward.
