The void creature's speed may have diminished, but it was still very fast. Halfway through the distance, Zol called to his companions,
"Mason!"
He called to the shield-bearer to take action alongside him. He then stretched his right hand towards the void creature and applied his telekinetic force, attempting to hold it in place.
And this was the reason he called out to Mason. With his barrier magic, Mason could create a containment field while he held the creature back. This would create an opening where Charlotte and Evelyn would explore and bombard it with their attacks.
Zol exerted the force, while Mason chased the creature, making a gesture with his hands as if to seal something between his palms.
This gesture created a solid rectangular prison that encased the void creature, reinforced several times over. The combination of Zol and Mason's abilities quickly trapped the void creature.
