The car window was open; he must have spoken to the police just now and opened the window. Jimmy reached out to pull him, leaning towards the back seat. The gunman's mouth was already bleeding, suggesting that Jimmy had hit his lungs or stomach from behind. He checked for a pulse, there was a faint one, but it was obvious that it was beyond help.
"Fxxk!!!" Jimmy's gun-holding right hand lowered as he walked toward the fallen officer, cursing under his breath.
"Brother, how are you feeling? Where were you shot?" Jimmy crouched beside the wounded officer, reaching out to check.
"Abdomen and leg, ah!" Jimmy's hand touched his waist, coming away with blood. It seemed like a lot of blood had been lost.
"Hang in there, the ambulance is almost here." Jimmy turned to another officer who had just come out of the car with a medical kit.
