Chapter 538 - Chapter 538

Hui's words silenced Aizen.

The man who always controlled others, who manipulated others at will, had his own spirit manipulated.

It was simply too ironic. Even Gin and Kaname wore strange expressions.

"Interesting, very interesting. So this is what it feels like to be under an illusion," Aizen laughed again, looking at Hui while inwardly pondering how to escape.

Yes, even though he was the ruler of Hueco Mundo, even though he toyed with everyone, at this moment, his only thought was to escape.

He always believed that one could be confident, even arrogant, but never foolish.

He was strong, but Aizen knew he absolutely couldn't win against the combined forces of these Captains, let alone with the presence of this mysterious person who could freely manipulate his soul.

Hui wasn't far from Aizen, so he could sense Aizen's thoughts. "If you want to run, I suggest you do it now. Because once they truly react, you won't be able to escape," Hui said, the smile still on his face.

Indeed, as he expected, the other Captains of the Gotei 13 were still in a daze.

They looked at Aizen, whose image had been completely overturned in their minds, and at everything that had just happened.

For a moment, they truly didn't understand what was going on.

However, at this moment, Aizen moved.

As a supremely intelligent person, Aizen knew exactly what he was facing.

If he didn't escape now, he might truly never escape again. So he ran. Without hesitation.

"Aizen, stop!" A second or two after Aizen's escape, Head Captain Yamamoto, having recovered, let out a low roar and was about to give chase.

However, someone blocked his path.

He had brown skin, purple hair, and wore tinted goggles.

It was the Captain of the 9th Division, Kaname Tōsen. Also, Aizen's subordinate.

Speaking of which, Aizen was indeed formidable.

He played the Captains of the Gotei 13 in the palm of his hand and even had one of them swear allegiance to him.

With such ability and charisma, it was no wonder he had so many followers.

"Tōsen?!" Head Captain Yamamoto asked in confusion, then his expression changed drastically.

"What do you mean by this?!" His face darkened; he realized something was very wrong.

"Nothing really! Suzumushi Hyakushiki: Enma Kōrogi," Tōsen said, his words contradicting his actions as his Zanpakutō already entered its Bankai.

He was going to cover Aizen's escape.

In an instant, the Reiatsu released from Tōsen's Zanpakutō transformed into a massive, elliptical barrier.

The barrier enveloped Tōsen and the Shinigami present. Except for Tōsen, who was touching Suzumushi's hilt, everyone else lost their hearing, sight, smell, and sense of Reiatsu, leaving only their sense of touch.

If other Shinigami were trapped in this barrier, it wouldn't be a blessing.

Because this sense of touch allowed those trapped inside to fully experience the pain of being at Tōsen's mercy.

But unfortunately, the Shinigami in this barrier were different.

They were all Captain-level Shinigami of the Gotei 13, each possessing extremely formidable strength.

And the barrier of Suzumushi Tsuishiki seemed to lack strong defensive capabilities.

Therefore, under Head Captain Yamamoto's single slash, the barrier shattered.

The moment the barrier broke, Tōsen and Gin, who had quietly moved to the edge of the barrier, instantly fled into the distance.

They never intended to stop the Captains. All they could do was delay them, even if only for a moment. Doing their best was enough.

"Tsk tsk tsk, how decisive, fleeing without hesitation. So, aren't you planning to chase them? If you don't, those three will really escape." Hui remarked, observing the scene.

Hui's words caused the Captains' expressions to change.

Head Captain Yamamoto was the first to pursue, followed by Byakuya, Hitsugaya, and Komamura.

But Unohana didn't move. She remained where she was.

"Why aren't you pursuing them?" Hui asked, looking at Retsu.

Unohana glanced at Kenpachi, who was on the verge of collapse, and said, "I'm just the Captain of the 4th Division, a medical division. Chasing after them doesn't seem fit for me, does it?" She said with a gentle smile.

Hearing this, Hui also smiled. "The unprecedentedly evil person of Soul Society, the bloodthirsty Yachiru Unohana, has actually become the Captain of a medical division. If the Shinigami who died by your hand a thousand years ago knew this, I wonder what their expressions would be like. It would certainly be amusing." Hui's words caused Unohana's expression to stiffen.

He knew of her past.

"You're staying here only because you're worried about Kenpachi. You don't need to worry; I won't do anything to him," Hui said, revealing Unohana's thoughts, leaving her speechless.

Won't do anything to him? Looking at the brutally bearen up Kenpachi, Unohana felt it was absurd.

"He's a very interesting person, but unfortunately, his power is limited right now. I'm very bored now and need someone to help me pass the time. He need to unleash his potential," Hui said, looking at Kenpachi with a casual yet domineering tone.

"Since you're so bored, I'll play with you," Unohana said.

A long-lost fighting spirit surged within her.

Even after a thousand years, the bloodthirsty nature of Yachiru Unohana hadn't completely subsided.

Hearing this, Hui looked at Unohana and shook his head. "You can't."

"Why?"

"Because your sword heart has been shattered. You've lost the will to be invincible. Your Zanpakutō is no longer sharp," Hui's words silenced Unohana.

Yes, a thousand years had perhaps not extinguished the fighting spirit in her blood, but it had pacified her heart. She no longer possessed the domineering aura of Yachiru Unohana. Now, she was Retsu Unohana, Captain of the 4th Division.

"I'm actually quite curious. Your ability is healing, so why haven't you healed the scar below your collarbone? In a thousand years, since you've grown fond of healing, you should have made some progress and be able to heal that scar," Hui asked curiously.

Logically speaking, after 1,000 years, even without talent, there should be some improvement.

However, Unohana just gave an awkward smile in response. She wanted to, but that wasn't an ordinary scar. It wasn't so easily healed!

"I think your hairstyle really doesn't suit you. Letting your hair down would definitely look better," Hui said. '

He activated his spatial affinity, immobilizing Unohana in place as her eyes widened in shock.

Then, he walked over to Unohana, undid her braid, and with a touch of his finger... "Much better this way." Hui looked at the vanished scar below Unohana's collarbone, nodding in satisfaction with a smile.
