I should have known!
I just couldn't trust this fuck boy for a minute!
Bringing her into my damn building? A company I've sacrificed my blood, sweat, and tears for and worked so hard for without any of your damned money and fame?
You brought her here! Of all places to showcase your undying, revolting love,
My building?
For what, huh?
Is this some punishment? Or wait, I'm guessing she convinced you to take her here so she can rub her big-time success on me.
Ohhhh! I was smart to not trust him when he said he wasn't in love with this woman. I just knew he was lying, because why else would he be with her? Or even bring her here?
If they weren't together the past couple of hours, or even days!
And he said he came here for me? Pfft! Even if he puts a tracker on me just to know where I am and what I'm doing, he still wouldn't show up for something as little as this.
Unless she convinced him to come, just to keep his husbandly image intact, doesn't he know coming to my office with his ex is a scandal just waiting to explode in our faces?
What do I do? How am I supposed to react? Should I ignore my emotions because I feel like boiling lava right now?
I want to tear that woman apart for even thinking of stepping on her double left legs in my building. This thing between Reiss and her I'd like to address later because I don't care if I pull a nerve or something; his recent actions are damaging to our reputation.
But if I do that, I'd just be letting her win. Giving in to my anger just gives her more chances to snag Reiss between her fingers. It certifies that she was right all along concerning our marriage, and then
It would ruin my reputation as a wife who is super jealous of her husband's ex.
The public would take her side on the matter, and I could lose everything. Everything I've dreamed of achieving after my hard work.
Take a deep breath.
We know how this is going to go. And this time, I'll be the one coming out on top. What happened last time will definitely not repeat itself.
Just so you know, this just happened in 30 seconds, and she's currently rushing into my arms and giving me cheek kisses.
"Freyaa," she says so enthusiastically.
Damn, I want to wash my face off so bad.
"You look so pretty today. I didn't know you'd be stopping by. How are you?"I return the fake act with tonnes of smiles and a giggle.
"I was at Reiss's office, and he said he wanted to come see you, and I was like, What the heck, let me tag along too," and from the corner of my eye, I saw a slight fucking smirk, which she definitely threw at me since we're still in each other's arms. I was the only one who saw it.
This damn bish...
"Wow, I mean, that's so thoughtful of you. You know, after what happened between us at the gala, I really didn't think I'd be seeing you again." I smiled, but my tone said otherwise.
And, oh, were people starting to throw whispers around the room?
"What happened at the gala that night?"
"Did she do something to Ma'am Freya?" I heard my secretary say.
Oh yes, she did, and I'm not about to say what.
I want an apology before I continue this fucking charade, and I'm going to get it.
"Oh… that. I just got a little too tipsy; I didn't mean any of what I said. You forgive me, right?" She pouted as she looked at me.
She was built for the camera's sake, I'll tell you that. Even under false pretence, she still manages to make it look real.
"Of course," I respond.
Now leave me alone and let me talk to that idiot over there.
But she just wasn't getting the memo: "I'd like us to be friends, Eya; is it cool if I call you Eya?"
Bish, what did you just call me?
Who in their right minds would want to be friends with you?
Am I crazy? Do I look crazy to you? You're going to damage my mental health, and you want me to be friends with you?
Forget that quote about keeping your enemies closer; avoiding them gives you peace of mind, that's what!
If I turned her down, I'd look like the enemy here.
"Uhum," I nod. I just can't bring myself to say it. I hate you, Araceli; I really do.
"Oh, thank you so much!!!" She beamed with excitement.
"Then, as a token of our new friendship, why don't I model for your upcoming show?"
Wait…
What?
"You want what now?" I said it almost immediately.
"Model… For your upcoming show, isn't that what they're all doing here? If you want, I could audition, so it doesn't seem like I'm cheating. Right Reiss?" And all eyes turned to him.
"Hmn." He nods in affirmation.
"But honey, I wouldn't dare stress a fine beauty like you. Besides, this is... a little show; not something of your calibre; it's not something you're used to."
"And don't forget about the pay," Bernice added.
Oh, thank you. I know she's been lost in all this, but she'd pick my side.
"Exactly!" I continued my point.
"The pay is below your standards. We were just looking for people who are still new to the business; maybe we could give them a boost in their career. Something you definitely don't need," I chuckled. Please leave me and my enterprise alone.
"Who's talking about money? I could do it for free. It's just a token, since we're friends and all. Besides, you need publicity, and that's something I can give you. All of you," she said as she turned to the applicants.
"Reiss," I said. I didn't know what to do anymore. She has me tied, and sooner or later these girls will start some horrendous chant like "Let her model" or something.
Right now, he's the only one she'll listen to, and I need him to be by my side.
If I walk up to him and whisper in his ears,
"I know you hate me, but please, just once, I need you to be on the same page with me. Tell her to get her ass out of my building because there is no way in hell am I letting her wear one of my designs. You brought her here, so take her back!"
He would say, "You need this publicity. Stop letting your feelings get in the way and take the opportunity."
Hmmm. I definitely do not want to sound weak in front of him. Besides, if I asked him, he would think I was jealous of her and that I had feelings for him.
And I don't care about them. This is good for me; this will show where I stand in this relationship of ours.
God! I can't believe I'm doing this.
"Okay then. You're in!" I say regretfully.
"Yay!" she shouts as she pulls me in for a suffocating hug.
Oh, dear Lord...
Save me.
Hours later…
"How'd it go, ma'am?" A slender man with full-on makeup dressed in a suit said as he stood beside her, anxiously waiting for her response. His red nails didn't go unnoticed as he drummed on the sides of a cup that was filled with coffee.
"That fool. She let me in." She laughed sarcastically, and it brought a smile to his face.
"So then, we'll go ahead with the plan?" He asked as he gave her the cup of coffee.
"Well, of course. On the 14th of December, Freya Park Sukuna will lay lifeless in her own pool of blood right on that damn stage where everyone would see," she said before erupting in another round of laughter.
