The next morning dawned, and it was almost time for Wuren Temple's gates to open. Yet, unexpectedly, another unforeseen event took place.
Just then, from the direction of the city gate, a large procession approached.
This group of people, completely disregarding the commoners who had queued up all night, swaggered toward the temple's entrance with a sedan chair in their midst, all the while shouting and pushing through the crowd with their arrogance.
The commoners, though angry, dared not speak out, because the group... was made up of Government Officials.
Undoubtedly, the person inside that sedan chair was none other than the county magistrate himself.
