"This is where the incident occurred, Naruto-sama," The handmaiden in front of Naruto said grimly, bowing slightly to him as she gestured to the abandoned-looking temple in front of him. It hadn't been abandoned merely two weeks ago, but now it looked run down and unused.
"There's some sort of barrier on it," Yasaka further explained next to him, walking towards the temple. She reached out her hand, placing it into the air, and then suddenly flinching as if jolted by a strike of electricity. She ignored the pain, pushing her hand further, but then her hand evened out as if she was pushing on something. She pressed her hand into the air, her palm flat as if she was pushing into an invisible wall.
"I've tried everything I could think of, and even had Sirzechs and Azazel look at it," Yasaka said with a frown, not happy about having to bother Naruto with something like this, "But it's a barrier like I've never seen before. It's… as if it's not there. There's no sense of energy or magic."
"Well, I could just try punching it," Naruto shrugged, walking towards the temple.
If even Yasaka can't figure it out, I doubt I can.
Compared to the genius Youkai Queen, Naruto was much more blunt. He cocked back his fist, walking forward as he readied himself to feel a jolt of pain. However, that pain never came. He stepped past Yasaka, walking closer to the temple as if there was no barrier there at all.

"Eh? The hell is this?" Naruto muttered, having not experienced any 'dungeons' yet in the game. He turned around to speak to Yasaka, but blinked as she was suddenly gone. The handmaidens with her were also gone, the street where they had been standing looking eerily empty.
Did they vanish? Or did I vanish?
Naruto stared blankly at the empty street for a second. Then, he shrugged and turned back to the dark and eerie temple.

Naruto blinked, staring as the quest suddenly appeared in his vision.
Haven't had a quest in a while. Also, the reward is… coins.
After unlocking the shop system many years ago for purifying the underworld, Naruto had promptly… done nothing with it.
It was mostly useless junk anyway. What would I do with a bunch of health potions? Using those during a fight would be super lame! Not to mention inefficient.
The shop page that Naruto had looked through was full of low-level items, mainly consisting of health and energy potions that were near-useless. They all cost 100 coins at most and didn't go above restoring 1% of his health or energy back.
Sufficient to say, Naruto thought it would be lame as hell to start chugging potions in the middle of a fight - and, considering he hadn't had a seriously difficult fight in this world yet, he didn't think he'd ever use them.

…There's more than one page?
But, more importantly, "Your listening to my thoughts, aren't you, damn game?! You added that reward because I didn't realize there was more than one page!"

The system didn't respond.
"Don't ignore me, damn system! That means you've been screwing me over on purpose with all those persuasion checks!" Naruto ranted, shaking his fist up into the air like an old man, "I'm not just unlucky! You've been doing this on purpose!"

"Wait, wait, let's not do anything crazy here…" Naruto chuckled sheepishly, deciding not to press the system any further as it added another failure condition. His crotch ached at the idea of having to take care of a hundred more women - his current harem was already too much.
Guess I'm clearing out this dungeon.
Naruto pushed the notification away, walking towards the entrance of the temple. As he did, he stopped for a moment, staring up at the temple.
Wasn't it more… broken?
True to Naruto's thoughts, the once run-down looking temple was now in pristine condition, looking as good as new. A light was even coming from it, looking as if there were torches lit inside it.
Naruto shrugged at the sudden change in scenery, walking through the doorway. He glanced around, taking in the sight - the temple room was large and spacious, with Japanese-esque cushions sitting on the ground. Sitting in the middle on the floor was a muscular, blonde-haired, and tall man. His face was wrinkled yet chiseled, looking like he was in his 40s.

? is an ancient king known as the strongest Youkai in history. His essence was sealed inside a temple to act as a challenge for future generations.
"So, you are my challenger…" The man grunted, pushing himself to his feet. He reached down next to him, picking up a sheathed katana. He looked at Naruto with hard eyes, gazing up and down as he judged him.
"Yo," Naruto replied with a peace sign.
"...'Yo?'" The man muttered, his eyes steeling, "Disrespectful brat. I've waited thousands of years to finally meet my successor, and all he can say to me is 'Yo?!'"
"...What's up?" Naruto tried again with a shrug, causing the man's face to turn red with anger, "Look, grandpa, it's not my fault you waited thousands of years to meet me. I didn't know you existed until a minute ago."
"G-Grandpa?! You dare…" The mans face flushed an even deeper read, and he shifted into a fighting stance, "I am the strongest Youkai in history! The man who bent nature itself to his whim! A legendary warrior whose name was lost to time! I will not accept a brat like you as my successor!"
The ancient king unsheathed his sword, pointing it Naruto as it glowed with an ominous black aura.
[LEGENDARY] [God-Slaying Sword]
"I didn't agree to be your successor either, grandpa," Naruto said dryly, shifting into his own fighting stance, "I'm just here to complete a quest. I don't give a damn about any of this."
"Y-You… I will kill you! You will not inherit my power! Take this - this is the sword I used to kill a god!" The ancient king shouted, dashing forward as he launched at Naruto. He swung his sword, aiming for Naruto's neck. In response, Naruto merely leaned out of the way, dodging the blow easily.
He's pretty fast, but…
Naruto avoided the next blow, stepping into the man's guard and slamming a fist into his gut. The ancient king gasped, the wind knocked out of him as he stumbled backward, and Naruto didn't let up. A flurry of punches and kicks followed - Naruto literally tossing the old man around the room as he beat his ass.
He's not a good fighter.
Naruto was once again reminded what put him above everyone else in this world - his fighting ability, which was honed from years of life-or-death battles.
He wasn't the strongest being in this universe, nor was he the highest level. He couldn't hold a candle to someone like Ophis in terms of power, and he was practically a third of Sirzech's level. And yet, dragon god and Maou alike bended to his will, revering him as the Youkai God.
Why? What could make a literal dragon god and the new Lucifer himself bow to a being weaker than them?
It wasn't power - it was ability. Naruto's countless jutsus, fighting techniques, and surprisingly brilliant fighting mind were what allowed him to stand at the top.
The beings of this world were powerful - far more powerful than even Kaguya had been - but they weren't fighters. They flaunted their power - they abused it, overwhelming their enemies with pure strength alone. They had immense power, but they weren't martial artists. They weren't bodily fighters. In a real, genuine hand-to-hand fight, they couldn't compete with ninjas.
When your fights consisted of flinging massive balls of power at each other or ruthlessly smashing your fists into each other until someone submitted, your overall fighting techniques suffered.
And so, Naruto tossed the ancient king into the air, shooting off the ground and appearing above him in an instant. His leg chopped down, causing spit and blood to fly from the man's mouth as he slammed him down into the ground unceremoniously.
"H-How…" The ancient king groaned, clutching at his stomach as he coughed in the crater the impact had formed.
"You're too old for this, grandpa," Naruto merely hummed, crouching down as he stood unharmed from the beatdown, "You're just like everyone else in this world. All these crazy powers - all this stupid 'bloodline magic,' or 'world-ending longinus,' or 'god-slaying swords' - they're all stupid. If you rely on a power you didn't build with your own hands, then it'll crumble before you."
Naruto stood up, slapping his hands together as he wiped off a few flecks of the mans blood, "No amount of inherited power, or legendary weapons, will beat hard work!"
Damn, I sound like Rock Lee right now.
"...Ha," The man chuckled, the sound coming out as a wheeze as he broke into another blood-filled cough, "Ha! Truly, you are worthy to be my successor, brat. You're right… I remember when I knew that once."
The man pushed himself into a sitting position, looking up at Naruto with sad eyes, "You're just like me. I wasn't born with talent, or into a noble family… I worked for everything I had. For every bit of power I gained. And yet, sometime along the way… I forgot that."
He stood up, holding out the sword toward Naruto, "Thank you for reminding me, brat. The reason my name is lost to time… is because I gave up on my ways. Because I became arrogant. I forgoed my training, grew lazy as I relied on my sword and techniques, and was sealed for my arrogance."
He kneeled down, holding the sword toward Naruto for him to take, "Take this sword, and use it better than me, my successor! Instead of relying on it like me, correct my past ways and utilize it to grow even further! You have proven to me that you are truly the Strongest Youkai in History!"

"Now, use your power, and…" The man's face suddenly relaxed, turning into a smirk, "Have a good time with that descendant of mine! Give her lots of children so that my bloodline will carry on!"
Naruto blinked at his words, "Crazy old ma-"
Before he could finish his sentence, the world around him glowed. The man was consumed in a large bright light. An orange aura flowed out from the man, streaming into Naruto's chest.

Naruto blinked, looking down at his hand as he suddenly felt stronger. His chakra felt more vibrant, and he could tell his reserves had increased.
The temple reverted to its previous state, looking torn down and abandoned again. All that remained of the man was a simple, plain-looking katana laying at Naruto's feet.
…He was right. We are the same.
Naruto sighed, reaching down and picking up the sword.
I've become lazy since I came here. When was the last time I trained seriously?
Since he had arrived here, Naruto hadn't had a serious fight, nor had he done any serious training. All his time was consumed by having sex and ruling an entire race.
I'll do better from now on.
Naruto turned, taking the sword with him as he walked out of the temple doorway.
"The Prime Minister of Australia?! You think I care about what he thinks?!" Naruto blinked as he stepped out, watching as Yasaka ranted into her phone, "Do whatever it takes to find Naruto! Tell him to search every damn inch of his continent! If we don't find Naruto by tomorrow, then I'll bomb the hell out of those kangaroo-loving bas-"
"Yasaka?" Naruto interrupted blandly, glancing around the previously empty street. Instead of just Yasaka and a couple of handmaidens, there was now practically an army of Youkai, all running around frantically like chickens with their heads cut off.
"N-Naruto-chan?!" Yasaka spat out, literally dropping her phone on the floor as she turned around and leaped at him, "I was so worried!"
"...I was gone for like… 5 minutes?" Naruto deadpanned as the woman hugged him tightly, her huge breasts pressing into his chest.
"Well, it was a scary 5 minutes!" Yasaka huffed up at him, then called over her shoulder to one of her handmaidens, "Call off the search! Oh, and tell Serafall that she doesn't have to blow up the Eiffel Tower anymore!"
Why the hell would blowing up the Eiffel Tower help them find me?!
"What's that?" Yasaka asked, looking down at his new katana. Naruto held it up, inspecting the plain-looking sword.
[LEGENDARY] [God-Slaying Sword] - An ancient sword that holds the power of a deceased god.
"I dunno," Naruto shrugged, slinging it over his shoulder casually, "I'll give it to Rias. She loves this kind of weeb stuff."
